How Does Your Garden Grow?

We found a few burning bushes that are almost 5' tall.
Hopefully they will block a view that I am not happy with.
Put in some cypress trees, they grow very fast and make a solid wall. They're not to thick, but grow tall quickly!! http://www.fast-growing-trees.com/PrivacyTrees.htm Just bought a lot of flowers today, Hydrangea, beautiful variegated azaleas, petunias, mini petunias, coreopsis, portulacas, lilies, a couple of hibiscus trees with orange blossoms, snapdragons, dahlias, Asters, columbine and other flowers I can't remember!

Wow...you bought a lot of plants! I did quite a few last year & now I'm waiting to see if they all come back. Most have except for a couple of decorative grasses. Thanks for the tip on the Cypress but it doesn't seem they are hardy in my area. And we already put in a hedge of arborvitae. Now we need a few more (burning bushes) strategically placed to block the view or person as the case may be. lol. They are coming next week.

You guys could build...The Great Wall of Chicago?
I would love that! When 40 year old 20' tall yews were cut down...you feel all exposed. So yeah...I'm just trying to re-create what I had.

you just made me realize that it was arborvitae, not cedar, that I had at my old house. That will definitely do the trick! Lol about the burning bush blocking the person

I love day lilies! I have some lilies coming up, I have no idea what they'll be!? Stargazers are my favorite !!

My lillies are coming up too. Don't know the name but they are a deep orange. My yellow iris are about ready to open. These daylilies that I just bought are yellow Stella something. They are shorter & bloom longer. We got 6 more tomatoes yesterday. One is a grape & there are 2 that will be black/purple ones. It says good flavor. I had some blackish ones a couple years ago & they were delicious.
