Yeah...when I saw him in DC last summer...everyone in the seats were sitting that I could see. I had field seats (back of the field, but the field! ) and we stood the WHOLE time. I was exhaused after that show!!! LOVED IT!
This is why they need to move the enthusiastic people upfront, so Paul can feed off of the energy.

Did you catch the show in '05 at Raleigh? I had 3rd row and everyone around me was so drunk they couldn't stand, and the lady beside me had beer spilled all over her and threw a tantrum during the show. :

oh that's obnoxious. No, I didn't get see him then, I actually didn't live here then, the only show I have been to was DC. ops: When I saw him I only sipped water because I didn't want to take the chance of forgetting any of it and I didn't want to have to leave to go to the bathroom!!! I am in Row D this time...and I plan to stand and dance and sing just like I did from the back!
-
Row D, awesome!

Certainly at Piedmont Park just about everybody stood up around us the entire show. We had been sitting for about five hours waiting for the show so we were ready to stand!!! In Columbia in 1993 if people sat down they weren't near me, but with 50,000 in attendance I guess a few must have? At Phillips in Atlanta after that no one in our section or on the floor sat down at all... Maybe I should have said no one near me instead of no one...I'm sure there are those that sat down but I was diggin Paul so much I must have missed them......

In section 2 of Phillips arena in 2005 people were sitting and it was mostly older corporate folks. They even asked me how I ended up in that section.

I saw the opening night of the Van Halen tour here in 2008 and I must say the crowd was quite into it. But I did see the Police in Atlanta at Phillips and I was surprised that so many folks sat down most of the show.... Macca is so different. I've seen four shows, never ever been to one where people sat down...yes, here and there, (you know, newer stuff, Blackbird maybe, band intros what have you). I will be rocking out with my wife who is 5'10 and my two kids age 6 and 11. I'm 6'2, 240 so if you're sitting behind us you better plan on standing up...We'll keep it together though...but we will dance when we must (and some serious air guitaring as well)...not too big on the singing at the top of our lungs except in the choruses (Daytripper, yeah now, etc)...and the few choice whoops and extras Paul has thrown in on the past few tours that my son and I will know...
Every Macca show I've been to (excluding Piedmont Park) people have sat down. And these were in the first 5 rows. I hate being upfront and everyone just looking at you like you're stupid and poor Paul up there seeing all these people just sitting.
If you are up and dancing, singing and having a good time, don't worry about other people.
-
yeah, its about Paulie....I can't sit down even if I wanted to when he plays "Here's a song that Robbie wrote...on the way over here, actually" (I Saw Her Standing There) "Charlotte '93 Or "If you want to rock a bit, bop, this ones a good one to do that to" Oh yeah, we will be ready...kids covered in pink glow stick. they make great air drums for Abe's bit on Maybe I'm Amazed...
-
Yeah, I kept standing in Atlanta even though everyone else sit and I was getting death stares..
-
When I went to the Raleigh show, we got asked to sit down ( In our section in Atlanta, most people stood for the entire show! Hoping Charlotte will provide a good crowd! I plan to keep the floor rocking!! D
-
Sitting down with floor seats is just wrong. While I've seen Paul a dozen times, the only floor seats were in New Orleans, Columbia (stadium), and Charlotte (Blockbuster) - as far as I can remember, everyone stood throughout during these shows and they were three of the best I've seen.
-
Well, let's hope that is the case this time with Charlotte as well. My ticket for Nashville was dispatched through Crowdsurge yesterday, so I'm thinking the Charlotte tickets will be sent out pretty soon.
-
I got my new tickets this week, now it's really sinking in that I'm going!!! Only a couple more weeks! Now I just need to sell my 1st ticket that I bought for myself, before my brother decided he wanted to go and I had to get more! Haven't seen Paul since 02 in Atlanta, and I am also excited since I have been reading that we will more than likely get to take our cameras in this time! I didn't get to take one in to the 2002 show, security wands waving all over us, so I didn't even try

Less than 20 days until show time, people.

OMG I can't believe it's coming so quickly!!!!!!
