Charlotte, NC - Time Warner Arena - 7/28/10 - ARCHIVE

Looking forward to this show..it seems like it will be the smallest venue he's playing this tour.
-
Y es, indeed, it will be good to have the boy back in the Queen City--hot summer night just like before but indoors this time. I am wondering if he unveils Junior's Farm and/or Sally G for Nashville two nights before as a special treat that he just might keep it in for the rest of the tour. Isn't that what he did last summer with "I'm Down," played it in New York and then it became part of the set list? Of course, I think New York came just after Halifax, last summer's opening city, so it was somewhat different.
-
I am hoping he rocks out Junior's Farm in Nashville. A bunch of us in the front sections are making signs that say "Take us down to Junior's Farm"! so hopefully we can get a response.
-
That's a great sign idea--"Take us Down to Junior's Farm"..how can he resist that??? I know when he played in Atlanta in 2002, a few years after Run Devil Run came out, I was convinced he would play the title track there because he had discovered those Run Devil Run pills in an Atlanta drugstore and then the song grew from that. Of course, he didn't but I would say your chances of hearing "Junior's Farm" ought to be about as high as the temperature has been lately .
-
We definitely have to get some kind of response..even it's just a little 10 second chorus of the song.

Believe Mccartney has said he does not like the song lyric so it might be doubtful unless he has a change of heart. I think the setlist of the SF show tonight should give us a basic idea of what he will do.

So what are the before show plans? Anything nearby the arena?
-
Heres one option nearby, 5th and College Street

Ooops, never mind, they don't open till 7 PM. Maybe an after party possibility.
-
I don't think there's any plans for anyone. We might see each other trying to catch Paul coming in, though.
-
Yeah, we'll be driving in from Greenville SC, after work early and will have time for a few beers. Seems like I went to some Irish pub before the Van Halen gig that was a short walk. Also stopped to kill one at some sports bar right before the gig as well. Will have wife and two kids in tow so not too much time for the Salutes to Paul (and Wix and, of course, The Lovely Linda)... Kids are really excited...

I think it would be fun to meet up a little before the show! I haven't been on the board long, but I would love to meet some of you!

Around 3:30-4, at the artist entrance on the side of the arena.

OMG if I see him I might pass out and miss the concert!!!!!

I am sooo excited!!! This is my 2nd time seeing Paul, I saw him at Citifield last summer. I didn't have floor seats, I was a few rows above home plate, but that only made Paul about the size of 1/2 of my pinkie finger!!!! I am looking forward to a smaller venue!!!!

Yeah, this venue is going to be amazing to see him in.
-
I really want to go early and see him come in. I have already moved my time off from work from 2pm to 1pm, if I keep this up, I may as well take the whole day off! I don't know what I would do if I saw him coming into the arena!!
