... Actually, if you REALLY want someone to blame, blame the federal reserve, these beyond approach Trillionaire banking families (they own both democrats and republicans) have got us into this mess, let them get us out of it. They setup this win/lose paradigm system since 1913 and before then everything was fine. You should NOT have to pay for your own money. They're the biggest crooks of all. You were robbed and you didn't even know it. The purchasing power of the dollar has dropped to the point where it is worth about $.05 compared to 1913's dollar. I don't have the time nor energy to explain this in much detail, so of you are interested do your own homework. ...

Too much cynicism and you get nothing done. We need to regulate the out of control corporations and make our tax laws more fair. It can be done. But, best not to elect the people who would profit most by the status quo and who would double down on the abuses that created the economic mess. Speaking of abuses...looks like mittens is going to have a huge Halloween scare..about time
He and his ilk are a major part of our problem. http://www.truth-out.org/buzzflash/commentary/item/17613-uaw-charges-romney-with-profiteering-from-auto-bailout
For Mitt Romney, it's one scary Halloween. The Presidential candidate has just learned that tomorrow afternoon (November 1) he will be charged by the United Automobile Workers (UAW) and other public interest groups with violating the federal ethics in government law by improperly concealing his multi-million dollar windfall from the auto industry bailout. At a press conference in Toledo, Bob King, President of the United Automobile Workers, will announce that his union and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) have filed a formal complaint with the US Office of Government Ethics in Washington stating that Gov. Romney improperly hid a profit of $15.3 million to $115.0 million in Ann Romney's so-called "blind" trust.
Read it and weep...and thank whatever there is to thank that mittens will not be successful in his attempt to buy the presidency. "Memories to last a Lifetime"

Oh, it's true alright. Big reason he won't release taxes from that period. Also the ONE BILLION PURCHASE OF ASIAN FACTORIES BY BAIN CAPITAL, MITTENS COMPANY has just been finalized: http://www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-10-26/delphi-automotive-closes-on-fci-unit-acquisition So..follow the money mittens uses the money he made improperly from the auto bailout to
wait for it
buy companies in China to compete against US workers. AND when he bought out Adelphi auto parts he fired 25,000 US workers.
He is one ugly piece of greedy work
Bet the basebots are so proud

That does NOT sound like a winning strategy to bring 12 million jobs to America. Quite the opposite, actually.

Will Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath keep a lot of voters from voting next Tuesday, audi ? And anyone else who wants to comment. Been wondering about this. Am worried

Important endorsement for our President
NYC Mayor Bloomberg endorses President Obama for a second term. This is important because Bloomberg didn't endorse at all in 2008 and he's an Independent. But what I thought was most important is that he endorsed because he thought that Obama would be best at addressing Climate Change Seriously important that someone of his statue would do that. Bloomberg is an international business success so his endorsement could carry some weight. US has to address Climate Change on federal level and SOON!

Romney does not deserve to be considered as a credible candidate for the highest office in this country. He is a shameless, opportunistic liar who has offended a significant portion of the country.
Why does he not deserve this? Was the nomination process unfair? Did he not receive the most votes from his party? If being a shameless, opportunistic liar who has offended a significant portion of the country disqualifies one from office, how will you ever have elections?

Let me add that no one wants to stand in the way of wealth. It's HOW one gets wealthy that is the issue. Capital gains only to be invested in offshore accounts is not illegal, but it's not patriotic either.
Is it patriotic to marry into money? I only ask because the same people who complain about Romney's money called it petty of Republicans to complain about Kerry's money. Kerry was also called unpatriotic for knowing French.

I know almost nothing about Bloomberg. Has he actively done anything to address climate change? What will Obama do about climate change in his second term that he did not do in his first? And why did he not do it in his first term?

Climate change is what it is, and unfortunately it's looking like addressing the issue isn't going to change anything. There are too many unanswered questions out there..... How come the other planets in our solar system have also undergone Climate change? How come the ice caps on Mars have receded as they have and how come this is not discussed in the media or by NASA? What are they withholding from us? What are we to make of the numerous videos of a so called Planet X that has been seen in the sky as a kind of 2nd sun? What's up with that? Could its presence have something to do with our weather patterns? I'm just wondering. Also, in regards to Climate change, how can there be ancient tropical plants buried in the ice of the North Pole? They've even found remains of a Wooly Mammoths buried in the ice. How can that be? Wasn't that creature known to inhabit warmer weather? More likely around the equator? So what's it doing at the North Pole? I've read that the South Pole has actually gained ice, yet the North Pole has receded. Could there be a greater magnetic pull on the North Pole than the South? What could be causing that? Just wondering.

Character matters. Kerry has it. Romney doesn't.

I'm surprised that you seemingly know so much about past Presidential candidates but know so little about the current Mayor of NYC, who is an Independent -- and a political heavyweight. And he is a leader in the climate-change movement.

(enter 'Dragnet" music ... dummm-da-dumdumm) UAW calls for investigation into Romney ethics violations over possible profits from auto bailouts: "The United Autos Workers, which has endorsed President Barack Obama, announced Thursday that its members want the US Office of Government Ethics to investigate Gov. Mitt Romney for violations. The UAW leadership held a press conference in Toledo, Ohio, Thursday, alleging that Romney profited from the 2009 automotive bailout of General Motors and Chrysler Group through an investment in a company that itself was invested in Delphi Automotive. The irony, of course, is that Romney opposed a government bailout of the auto industry. "The American people have a right to know about Governor Romney's potential conflicts of interest, such as the profits his family made from the auto rescue," said UAW President Bob King in a press release. "It's time for Governor Romney to disclose or divest."..." http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/01/uaw-calls-for-investigation-into-romney-ethics-violations-over-p/
