The 2012 and beyond Political Thread - Part 2

Congratulations President Obama! I'm happy to know you will be in office another four years.

left hand man:
That guy did run for office, but some were so blind that they didn't want to see him for what he truly is! May God have mercy on us! America has made it's choice, and that choice is to support an unGodly man and his unGodly party! God is watching, and we will reap what we have sown! Pray for our country, and our children!
Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen supported the President and that's saying something.. I will take those endorsements over narrow minded ignorance any day! Your statements are just plain wrong.

Obama's re-election ensures that The Affordable Care Act ("ObamaCare") shall remain the law of the land and will only strengthen over the years. Obama's re-election ensures that -- with Obama's appointments -- The Supreme Court will reflect the moderate-to-progressive values of the majority of Americans for the next generation. To boot, Obama won both the Electoral AND Popular votes. And... ...in one, final act of sheer, self-indulgent gloating, I have the following question for all the obstructionists, voter-suppressors, racists and Tea Baggers: "How ya' like us now, beee-atch?!!??" OK. Back to my normal pragmatic self.

Obama and Elizabeth Warren are going to finish the job of consumer-protection.

Almost forgot: Alan Grayson -- the most straight-shooting liberal Congress has ever seen -- won his seat back in the House! He was a loud voice in the healthcare fight in '09.

OK -- I lied. This is beautiful. Karl Rove just can't believe that the party of the portly lost Ohio.

This is how much the REST of the world favours Obama: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/63592000/gif/_63592043_worldservicepoll_464_romney_embargoed_23102012.gif http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20008687 It makes a thing about Pakistan being the only country to prefer Romney but then if you look at the graph, Pakistan were actually only 14% for Romney and 11% for Obama - so a big majority just against either of them. I struggle to believe that as many as 7% of Brits support Romney.
I'm with the opinion of the last country on that list... Spain? so is this the more "Romneyless" nation in the planet? haha... I didn't like my nation so much since they won the football World Cup.
And, just like then, I'm not sure is true. BBC uses to be reliable... hmm...

Agee, not only the money which they set up through Citizens United (how'd that work out for you wingers?) but also the voter suppression which was a travesty. In my state the wingnut gov. had set up roadblocks to voting that should get him put in jail. But yet, the people prevailed and stood in line many for over 5 hours to exercise their right to vote. I'm glad that Obama addressed the voting problems in his acceptance speech. We need to get voting out of the states domain and into the federal..the only way that there can be standardization of the rules and prevent the suppression that was prevalent in this election. This is my last song for mittens...bye bye..good riddance
-
Bye-bye, shape-shifter. And you're right, mustangsally10: Obama addressed the voter suppression head-on: "By the way: We gotta fix that." I nearly leaped to my feet. The Republicans tried every dirty trick in the manual -- and they lost BIG. Plus, Democrats picked up seats in the Senate. Obama is going to kick ass and take names in this second term.

This gets to the heart of the matter. The repub. establishment is finally calling it out for what it is. The repub. basebots have been living in an alternative reality. They have been manipulated by the likes of Limbaugh, faux news etc. If they don't wake up they will keep losing and become more and more marginalized and irrelevant. Here's some wake up news for them. Time for them to leave the bubble
Brilliant watch the entire piece the best is at the end http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/49736294#49736294

Rachel's best quote: "...Last night, the Republicans got shellacked. And they had NO IDEA it was coming. and we saw them -- in real time -- in real, humiliating time, not believe it -- even as it was happening to them, and, unless they are going to secede, they're going to have to pop the factual bubble they have been so happily living inside --- if they do not want to get shellacked again -- and that will be a painful process for them, I'm sure, but it will be good for the whole country. ..."
