seems as clear as day to me.
Why the religious conservatives can't embrace this is beyond me. I mean: Do they really want their government telling them whom they must worship?

I thought all religious persuasions were free to worship in their perspective houses of worship. In this country and still be considered citizens of this country. love doris

21st Century Paul:
That's a proof that we, all "it's getting better". We often complain of "today's world" but the past was much worse and the future will be better. But what I can I say if I'm an optimistic... JFK had a great list of lovers... almost all of the Hollywood stars BEFORE being president. http://www.whosdatedwho.com/tpx_1246/john-f-kennedy/
Many things are getting better all the time, but what does it say that America's greatest leaders could never get elected today?
hmmm... I don't know

All the "going over the financial cliff" talk is so boring. It's difficult to understand all this high finance too.

The President is hosting a live Twitter chat with Americans right now to discuss this very issue. Obama endured a lot of legislative stagnation in his first term, due to the Republicans' unbelievable amount of filibusters and the public's lack of understanding of his policies. He is CLEARLY not going to make that mistake again. It's time to get some things DONE. And an INFORMED public is his best weapon.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow's comments on what we have now avoided, due to Obama's re-election. It still gives me chills: (1) ?We are not going to have a Supreme Court that will overturn Roe vs. Wade. There will be no more Antonin Scalias and Samuel Alitos added to this court.? (2) ?We?re not going to repeal health reform. Nobody?s going to kill Medicare and make old people in this generation ? or any other generation ? fight it out on the open market to try to get themselves health insurance. We?re not going to do that.? (3) ?We?re not going to give the 20% tax cut to millionaires and billionaires, and expect [cutting] programs like food stamps and kids? health insurance to cover that tax cut.? (4) ?We?re not going to make you clear it with your boss if you want to get birth control with the insurance plan that you?re on.? (5) ?We are not going to redefine rape.? (6) ?We are not going to amend the constitution to stop gay people from getting married.? (7) We?re not going to double down on Guantanamo. ( ?We?re not eliminating the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, or Housing at the Federal level.? (9) ?We are not going to spend two trillion dollars on the military, that the military does not want.? (10) ?We are not scaling back on student loans because the country?s NEW plan is that you should borrow money from your parents.? (11) ?We are not vetoing the Dream Act, we are not ?self-deporting.?? (12) ?We are not letting Detroit go bankrupt.? (13) ?We are not starting a trade war with China on Inauguration Day in January.? And... http://thepoliticalcarnival.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/maddow-2012-election-recap-Obama.jpg

Oh for goodness' sake... : ETA: Feel free to read up on the idea of "separation of church and state" as it's kind of central to the idea of our U.S. government.

Here's the latest despicable act by the supposedly "Godly" party: From Republicans, a Parting Slap at Bob Dole and Disabled Americans: "Former Senator Bob Dole, 89 years old and in a wheelchair, went onto to the floor of the Senate today to urge his former colleagues to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities. Mr. Dole, a disabled veteran, has been one of the leading voices urging ratification of the treaty, which seeks to bring the world closer to the high standard set by the Americans with Disabilities Act, the landmark civil-rights law enacted under President George H.W. Bush. One by one, according to Roll Call, the senators approached Mr. Dole to pat his shoulder or clasp his hand, making gestures of respect for the man who was for many years the Republican majority leader. Then he was wheeled away, and all but a handful of the Republicans bailed out on him. The treaty failed. It needed a two-thirds vote to pass, or 67 votes, and fell six short. So much for America?s support of a global agreement ?to promote, protect, and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities.? ..." http://takingnote.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/04/from-republicans-a-parting-slap-at-bob-dole-and-disabled-americans/

Is MSNBC doing sit-coms now?

A sitcom on MSNBC would have ten times the newsworthiness of a FOX NEWS report.

This piece that you posted is a bunch of drivel. Is this suppose to be a NEWS station? Looks like a propaganda machine for the current administration. Journalism and true straight on reporting sure has died.
