The 2012 and beyond Political Thread - Part 2

Australia has had no mass shootings since tightening its gun control laws 20 years ago.

The Colorado Springs shooter had recently moved there from a very conservative area of the southeast in the backwoods. The woman in the San Bernardino shooting was described by a Federal Investigator as living a very conservative lifestyle. (You Can See The Common Thread)

Have a buddy I met 8 years ago when I became his neighbor. He was in the Marines during the last 4 years of the Reagan Administration. He has always struggled to survive working minimum wage and other lower paid jobs. He would often times stop by to bum quarters for laundry or a cigarette or this and that. He has moved here and there from apt. to apt. and occasionally into the shelter for awhile. It bums me out that the Republican Party never wants to raise minimum wage but has no problem whatsoever with letting their wages be raised or allowing super rich people to make more and more money off from other people's work while letting the super rich pay less and less taxes. My Marine friend can never get ahead enough to stay in one place very long. He did get out of the shelter again and has a new apartment that he got with some help of people who help Vet's out. We Need Rich People To Give Back To Small Businesses And Workers That They Make Their Money Off Of Through High Profit Investment. VOTE DEMOCRAT! (The Party That Wants To Raise Minimum Wage Up To A Righteous And Rightfully Much Higher Level)

Our American National Bird doesn't like Trump either! Bald Eagle named Uncle Sam takes a peck at him in an interview!

Seems Donald Trump has brought both sides of the isle together, in it's own unique/unpredictable way...LOL I don't think either side saw the traction this guy would gain with what really is a dangerous (not to mention discriminatory and unconstitutional) suggestion....but the silver lining in all this is that Hillary Clinton from the Democratic side of the isle as well as most of the other Republican candidates are taking a more serious look at immigration policies...Not that immigration hasn't been talked about before...but it had always been more so on the back burner, not the forefront as it is now...I feel better that reform will happen sooner than later...but with that said, my republican vote will not touch Trump with a 10' stick...but thanks for getting people talking about it

^ Well put, Bruce! People who are anti-everyone, save themselves, are anti-American, and obviously do not understand what OUR Country...is really all about.

I used to think Trump was only there to make Jeb Bush look good by comparison. No one was at all excited about another Bush, and McCain and Romney can tell you what happens when voters aren't excited. If Trump came out and said a bunch of crazy Trump things, voters could see Bush as a sane alternative. Now, I'm not sure what his game is.

I'm glad Huffington Post declare that the art no long going to entertain anything to do with Trump. Apparently they've had enough and are moving him to the out of sight, out of mind, lack of true newsworthy category.

That's actually not what they said. They're simply not treating him as funny/amusing any more but as the scary and dangerous neo-fascist he is.

Well I certainly hope that sentiment of the media, catches on quickly. I suppose my sentiments where more along the lines of my hope for Donald's future in the news. I am more than done with hearing about what the Donald has to say...about anything!! It's unbelievable to me, it's gone on for this long. The joke that went on a bit too long, and turned nasty.

No matter what you think the Republican Debate is tonight on CNN - in fact it's happening now (two groups). The big debate is at 8:30pm Eastern Std. time zone ...

Suppose they only allowed one type of music and they chose RAP. Everyone would only be able to listen to RAP and nothing else. All that could be written about music could only be RAP. What a sad day it would be for music and the reporting of music. And if you wanted to hear or read about Paul McCartney (for example) it would not be allowed. What sad times we live in for journalism (Which may have died 7 years ago) if people only want one side, one source, one type of news in print, online, radio and television. Only want their party propaganda. Only want the regime to tell them what they need to know and to omit or edit what they feel is important to you. What a shame. I would rather have information and stories that I can choose to read, watch, listen to and skip, skim over or compare etc .... than to not have this available. I disagree with the direction things are going and I just cannot nod my head to it and say it is alright with me because it is not.

the republicans have convinced me to choose a democaric candidate love doris

The Republican debate on CNN was strange because on CNN International, there is only one person running for president. If Trump sneezes, it's headline news, but they completely ignore every other candidate. If you live outside of the US and only got your news from CNN, which would be crazy, you'd have to wonder who all those other people on stage were.

I learned something interesting from a top Republican female talk show host a couple of weeks ago. She said that around 90% of the Republican party is made up of males. And that, 44% of the Democrat party is made up of women and another 44% is made up of people of varied cultural backgrounds. Go figure! Democrats have always been the greatest supporters of All People's Rights. I sometimes wonder if the wives of some of these right wingers are even free to vote as they wish? VOTE DEMOCRAT The All People's Party ps... The term "Right" when speaking of politics has nothing to do with what is best or correct! Many of them spend so much time with their steering wheels turned in one direction, that they end up driving around in square circles.

According to a recent Pew Research poll, your Republican talk show host was wrong: http://www.people-press.org/2015/04/07/a-deep-dive-into-party-affiliation/ Gender. Women lean Democratic by 52%-36%; men are evenly divided (44% identify as Democrats or lean Democratic; 43% affiliate with or lean toward the GOP). Gender differences are evident in nearly all subgroups: For instance, Republicans lead among married men (51%-38%), while married women are evenly divided (44% Republican, 44% Democratic). Democrats hold a substantial advantage among all unmarried adults, but their lead in leaned partisan identification is greater among unmarried women (57%-29%) than among unmarried men (51%-34%).
