If the Iowa Caucus is any clue...the Republicans are declaring victory and blaming...you guessed it, Hillary Clinton! for the snafu with the Democratic vote. Now the Elephant vote went thru fine and the Donkee vote didn't. Hillary Clinton is to blame ?? or the side whose vote went thru fine?! wouldn't there be a problem with all the votes? Hmmmmm
I think we've entered the Twilight Zone or Bizarro World!
I can hear the Twilight Zone music all the time now do do...do do...do do...do do
Mitt Romney was inspirational today, the lone man who stood up for His actions before God, his bi partisan oath, his values, standing up for his children and grand children and the American people. It's really sad that there was that tweet saying he was removed from the Republican party, for voting his conscious.
Everything will come out and history will judge the actions and the civility of the acts perpetuated against the American people. The ethics, the morals of our leaders and lack of courage against FEAR in the face of a nation. It is shameful.
We're left to our votes now.
All I heard was they were saying he should be removed from the Republican party, not that they actually had. It's hard to keep up.

I never thought I would have anything good to say about Mitt Romney, but he showed some spine today, amid a party of pathetic toadies. At least there was one. The fact that this was the first time a member of an impeached president's own party voted to remove him makes this one for the history books.
Exactly! The rest were a bunch of spineless, boot-licking toadies! 🤬

Are we going to wake up and find Mitt Romney's head on a spike of the Gold House fence tomorrow, because of his vote?
And everything has been so well thoughtout...so as to not have a last minute Hillary fiasco with the Investigations... the AG has locked down all political investigations until the elections
No Political investigations allowed before the elections
Meanwhile...protestors starting to form. Asking for witnesses ( oops see link above)

Confirmed: Iowa Caucuses vote delay due to Trump supporters publishing phone in vote number, tying up phone lines for hours and hours.

Michael Bloomberg has done a phenominal job reducing deaths by guns in NY state while in office. Believe its the lowest in the country.
-
Joe Biden won in South Carolina primary

Joe Biden's response to the idea that the Cov19 virus is a Democratic hoax. (Or just look at the TV or any magazine and you will see the making a pandemic)
-
Really liked what Bloomberg had to say about Cov19. His calm and knowledgeable manner is very reassuring in this time of uncertainty. Really liked at the end how he said we all need to come together as a nation, and help each other out. Reminded me of Paul's idea about how we need to all stand together!

I'm mourning the end of Elizabeth Warren's campaign, but she should get a medal for taking out Michael Effing Bloomberg.
-
Unfortunately Elisabeth did a great job supporting women and little girls, however, it seemed her weakness was not having a plan to entice the Trump voting man to her side. In order to end the extreme bipartisansip divide, caused by our latest demander in chief, IMHO her plans were a bit too teacher to young girls, and not enough meat and potatoes for for the coal energy crowd. If she put some time into it, she probably could have had a plan. I worked with those guys for years and "I am woman hear me roar" falls on deaf ears. Hillary had strength there and Elisabeth didn't. You can't win a race with half of the population and those guys heard her Hello Mike attack as an attack on them. Don't think a man like Bloomberg was intimidated in the least tho. He's a New Yorker.
-
I didn't say Bloomberg was intimidated by Warren. I said she mopped the floor with him. If that's not strength, I don't know what is. I have a very, very bad feeling about Biden as the now-presumptive nominee. I hope I'm wrong.

Bad feeling in that you don't think he can beat 45 or what?

Trump will win. I would bet money on it. And the reason is pretty simple. Republicans will vote for him, no matter what. He really could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave and not lose any votes. Republicans will vote for absolutely anyone with an R after their name. Democrats, on the other hand, have to get pumped up to vote for a Democrat. Are Democrats excited about Biden? Independents can vote, but they know only one of the corporate parties will win. The electoral college guarantees that. And half the country will not vote at all.
And if you didn't like how he was in his first term, imagine how he will be after getting acquitted, reelected and never facing any consequences.
Good luck, America.

Hi Hailey, you're back! Good to see you here.
It's beyond belief how people are so brainwashed in their ideas, from a certain false news propaganda station. I sincerely tried to reach out a friend and a couple of family members, to try and understand how they have become stuck in certain beliefs, they never would have entertained for most of their lives. It's either hypnotism or brainwashing is the only conclusion I can come to. Not the people I've known for over 50 years. A few have come to their senses, with the Corona Virus misinformation. Hopefully that will be the wake up.

I don't know if I would say I'm back. This site is still a pain in the butt. But thank you.
The funny thing about brainwashing is that the people you think are brainwashed think you are brainwashed. They can point to all the "fake news" stories you think are real: your president is a patholigical liar with narcissistic personality disorder who brags about his ratings while people are dying, locks children in cages and cares more about how the media treats him than in the health and safety of the people - when they know the truth: everything bad is Obama/Clinton's fault, Democrats want to make frogs gay, and the president is a direct descendant of Jesus.

Somehow I missed this in March, but I don't think he'll be a very effective nominee and, should he win, he'll be at best a mediocre president. He's been on the wrong side of way too many issues over the years. I will grit my teeth and vote for him -- hell, I'd probably vote for Pol Pot over Trump -- but Dems had at least 7 or 8 better people they could have gone with.

I agree, and I told someone I would vote for PeeWee Herman if he was the Democratic candidate running against Trump!

Reading Mary Trumps book about Trump. It's worse than I thought it would be. She is actually a psychiatrist, so she knows what she's talking about.
The Title is Too Much and Never Enough. How my Family Created The World's most Dangerous Man. Very very bad for this country in the middle of a Pandemic. He is not some secret genius for the Republicans. Much much worse, the worst. Think bulldozer run amuck.

God help us all if he gets re-elected!

Yes, and they'll pull every dirty trick in the book (aided by Russia, again, maybe even China and others) to win ! That certainty really frightens me. Trump and his team have no ethics or morals or high standards, or true patriotism, to prevent those dirty dealings.
