Baby Watch ..... Baby Boy!

Here's the low-down on that robe: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-george-christening-royal-baby-2015340 A replica of a 172 year old gown first worn by Queen Victoria's daughter in 1841 and many since. Apparently George is not the first to wear it, the replica was first created in 2008 for the christening of Price Edward's son Viscount Severn. And Kate styled her outfit to match, not visa-versa. Very thrifty recycling Martin

This is the one with the Ah..... factor: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2885/10468883564_7ebbf49799_b.jpg
Now this is a picture of a future king!!! LOVE it!!! Blessed with good looks from his very attractive parents, Prince George is a beautiful baby!!! I LOVE this brilliant picture!!! I am so happy to see that this photo was chosen rather than a more conservative shot - very telling of William and Kate's modern view and attitude, which no doubt will be instilled upon Prince George. Very pleased to see that Prince George is healthy and happy, and that his christening day brought so much joy to his parents and family. Very well done!

Thank You, Martin! This is what I was hoping you'd share with us!

Bit of a shame I think, a chance to start afresh with something more modern was passed over. Martin
I agree. Boys don't need to wear long lace dresses. Just saying. It probably was scratchy, too

Now this is wild...the Archbishop of Canterbury or somebody like that said Prince George "could be a Buddhist if he wants to be..." What up wi dat???!!! Did my eyes deceive? Spied in a net story...I should have read the whole thing, now wondering about that--thought he'd have to be Church of England

Here's the Mail's take on that interview: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2475972/Prince-George-Buddhist-wants-says-Archbishop-royal-christening.html It's a considered reflection on the role of the Monarch as Head of the Church Of England and notes the Prince Of Wales ambition that the Monarch embraces other cultures - Prince Charles reportedly would like to become Defender of the "Faiths" rather than just exclusively Defender of The Faith as leader of the Church Of England, seemly to breakdown the growing schism between Christianity and Muslim communities in the UK. The Archbishop takes a stoical viewpoint on the possibility of George growing up wanting to convert to another faith: ?He?s perfectly entitled to be that, and we?ll cross that bridge if we ever get to it. Who knows?? If his father's reported faith is correct he's more likely to become agnostic or atheist - seems William only attends Church as duty requires. There have already been constitutional changes ahead of George's birth, when time comes he can choose his future Queen without concern for her faith, in the past he'd have been required to abdicate if he wished to take a bride from a faith outside of the Church Of England. How old is George? That's a whole heap of expectation/anticipation being laid at his door Martin

Prince George in the future might turn against the atheism and get rebellious and become fanatically religious, just to rebel against his parents like teens can get. That's a ways off, isn't it! God only knows what'll happen The little dickens already exudes a lot of personality and charisma Thanks for the info and story link, Martin. The Daily Mail is a trip. When reporting on celebrities they seem deliberately trying to be funny and droll, like real comedy or humor writers, instead of "straight" reportage, factual dry straightforward journalism.I don't know if that's a common Brit journalistic foible or what. I need to read other kinds of news stories by Daily Mail writers on serious topics to see if they're still like that.

Extra picture released today, presumably for the Sunday papers: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2881/10510825813_298be56566_o.jpg Now which one has the greater Aaaah factor? Martin
