True. But so many clues! I have always loved The Royal Family. I stayed up all night and morning to watch Princess Diana marry Prince Charles when I was 12 years old. Just excited for them to have a new baby. Wish them the best.

Yahoo UK News are maintaining a similar baby news watch web-page: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/royal-baby/ worth a look-see... Martin

Kate looks absolutely radiant! I'm amused at all the bookmakers that are going to make money on this, no matter what the odds.

The parents of 2013 babies born the same day as Kate and William's first born, here in the UK, will be able to apply for a free silver penny coin - to commemorate the event: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23176999 They will have sixty days to apply and will have to furnish the child's birth certificate to qualify. www.Facebook.com/theroyalmint http://a.pgtb.me/5p0zVX Martin

In preparation for the event the hospital and local authority have suspended parking in the vicinity of the hospital entrance: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/kates-royal-baby-parking-ban-outside-hospital-235558636.html#VqazyQm Ensuring that come the moment a space for a royal car to bring the mother-to-be is guaranteed. And similarly when dad comes visiting - and other family members call by - there will be no need to search for a space.... Martin

I watched Diana and Chas' wedding, too. When Wm and Kate married, I took the day off. Got up at 4:30am and watched through the morning

For those that love to follow such matters, charming pics of the Duchess Of Cambridge on what is listed as her final official outing prior to her expected due date: http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/pregnant-kate-middleton-is-chic-in-hobbs--dalmation-mac-as-she-makes-last-solo-engagement-before-her-due-date-123724294.html I see the press still lazily call her Kate Middleton, as if we can't recall her official title. Martin
Yes, they do. I thought the royal family's last name is Windsor-Mountbatten. So, why is she called by her maiden name, almost always?

I hope the baby's a girl. Supposedly Kate let the cat out of the bag in an off the cuff comment to someone giving her flowers. But perhaps that wasn't true. She made it sound like she's expecting a daughter. If that's factual (what I read).
-
When it comes down to it, all that really matters is that the baby's healthy. And doesn't have his/her granddad's ears! lol

Today is supposed to be the due date? waiting 4 the news.

give her/him a good start love doris

That's what the press had calculated anyway. However Kate has reportedly travelled to her parent's home some 50 miles from the hospital for a few days with Mum, while William has been happy to confirm attendance at a couple of weekend Polo matches with his brother Harry. All of which suggests nothing's stirring - or expected to stir - this weekend. On the home-making front their plans to have a London base in Clarence House - the former home of the Queen Mother - have hit a stumbling point when asbestos was discovered during the refurbishment - it will be removed but has caused an unexpected delay. However, as someone whose first came a week earlier than planned and whose second came a full fortnight ahead of schedule, sometimes babies fail to read the script We're having a real feel-good spell here in the UK with recent sporting triumphs and our basking in heatwave conditions, so certainly we're up for some more good news... Thank you 4 the update Martin. I have been awaiting the news here in the USA too. Glad everyone is having a grand time awaiting the big news across the pond!

Lots of speculation on gender & names. Latest rumour is Alexandra.

As long as the press doesn't go into all the details in the delivery room. I think that will be interesting learn of the arrival of the little one. love doris

Here's one good overview of the press furore expected once Kate is spotted leaving for/arriving at the hospital: http://www.ndtv.com/article/world/news-outlets-plan-blanket-coverage-for-a-royal-birth-392252?trendingnow It points out the differences between former Royal births and this one in this modern age with internet and social networking. blue jay hey:
shes hoping the bbc channel will show news about it etc.
I think she has no fears in that respect - and I don't think she'll have to rely on the BBC either. Expect blanket wall to wall TV news as well as internet coverage Martin
