Had to help with a litter box problem last night
I had one of those one time in the '70's. Had changed to some weird cat litter and she refused to use it. So my boyfriend had to go out late at night to get the old stuff. He said the clerk looked at him really funny!

Our cats sometimes walk on our Aussie's back & he just lays there & does nothing
-
They pulled my computer cord last night and almost took it off the table
-
One was on a rampage this morning while the other one stayed out of the way
-
Knocked a bunch of stuff off the table last night
-
Our kid's cat has yet again taken to hogging my pillow at nite when I'm sleeping
-
They missed me while I was gone
-
I never saw all 4 of our cats scoff down canned food like they did this morning
-
So happy to be home with the cats

My poor bengal, LilyBelle isn't doing well right now. Even tho' her appetite is good, she's lost too much weight & is way too skinny. She's also managed to peel the skin off above her nose & it's red & awful looking. She's only 10 years old & I'm so afraid we're going to lose her. Have to decide, do we take her to our regular vet or a new vet that specializes in cats only.

So sorry to hear this! I would use your regular vet since they know her best. Have you been happy with them? Maybe go to new vet for 2nd opinion if you can afford it. Pet care is not cheap, I know as I have 3 cats!

First off, I am not a Vet, so do not consider what I say to be qualified advice. I have cats. Be Sure to see the Vet. Is she kept indoors or does she go outdoors? Does she have fleas or ticks? Is she always biting her fur on her back? If you have an indoor flea problem, try boiling a large pot of water on the stove to make steam. Fleas cannot survive in moist cool air. The water mist will collect in their tiny airholes and they will suffocate. I never see fleas after a foggy morning. If you have a foggy morning, open the doors and windows and let the fog in. Does it look like Mange? http://cats.lovetoknow.com/Feline_Mange About her nose, is she sneezing? Does she blow her nose more than usual, wiping her nose with her paw? Is there blood? Does she have a wheeze when she sleeps? Try washing her bedding with a mild detergent and several drops of bleach. Vacuum and mop anywhere she plays. Rinse well. Also, make sure to clean her food and water bowls with dish detergent and hot water. Rinse Very Well. Does she eat dry cat kibble? Canned or Pouch wet cat food? Does she eat from the family dinner plate? Be Aware that cats should not be given foods that contain Onions, and there are other foods that should be avoided. If she is eating from the table or cat kibble, try feeding her wet Salmon from pouch or can. This is a list of foods to avoid: https://www.vets-now.com/pet-owners/cat-care-advice/human-foods-poisonous-cats/ Do her stools look normal? If they are runny or off-color or grey, she may be eating plastics from around the home or household chemicals. Runny stools can also be a sign of worms / parasites.

Spring is here.

Thanks to all for your concerns & good wishes for my Bengal. Her nose is healing. We're taking her to our usual vet. She & our other 3 cats are all strictly indoor cats. And very fortunately, none of them has ever tried to escape to explore outdoors.

Glad she is okay.

Heard on the radio while ago: about a special cat haven in a small town in the county which harbors hard to place puddy tats 'cause they have various defects or something, cat lovers are invited to check it out and get to pet them and be around all the cool cats and perhaps rescue some, it's hoped.

Cats are happy that I am back.

I woke up with our kid's cat above my head, patting my face with his paw
