Cat Appreciation Thread

Carmello has been sticking close the past few days
-
Heard on the car radio last night, new scientific research "proves" that pet cats are much less affectionate than dogs--cats just aren't "wired" to be as emotional--probably some cat lovers would disagree
-
Dogs are better than cats the way John is better than Paul.

Exactly!

Our Aussie was lying down on the sofa & our Bengal decided to curl up right against him for a cat nap! He kept her nice & warm.
-
Had some nice moments with both this weekend
-
Had to lock our Bengal in the loo for a bit, so I could go up in the attic & not worry about her getting up there & not being able to get her back down. She's very nosy & very, very, very mischievous!
-
Cats upset I had to move furniture so I could put up 12 foot canopy frame in living room

Once when we had insulation put in the attic Angel got up there and scared the guys! They had to shoo her out.

Hope the cats behave and stay off my canopy

Ever wish that you could...
I never thought of this, but apparently it's very popular! -
^ Really? How stupid looking is that? sorry...dog person here & just thought I'd stop by to ask why a mother cat would be so stupid as to have her litter of kittens in my window well where there is a hunting dog? Not a bird dog...a coon dog so cats are a very close alternative. Grrr. I've been chasing her away for days now because she upsets my dog so much he just keeps howling & I don't want him to try to jump the fence like she does when she leaves. Well, I called animal control & they will be coming shortly so we will see what happens.

It was strange...I'll agree... It started from a you tube of a pet monkey that demanded to be combed... That's really tough about your coonhound wanting to get at the cats. She needs to be caught and spayed. We used to have a lot of wild cats near where I used to live. Luckily there was an SPCA very closeby.

Animal control did come & I asked her to relocate them to another window well that my dog can't get to. She said the mom will find them. Hopefully she doesn't move them back to where we took them from. As soon as I know the mother is back with the kitties (5) I'll have the one window well blocked.

Good idea! The wild cats in my old neighborhood seemed to have one litter after another. Good Luck!

Saw an article revealing Howard and Beth Stern are absolutely crazy about cats and kittens. And also put their money where their mouth is. Nice to know
-
I took down the canopy and put furniture back, so cats are happy
-
Cats are enjoying lounging in windows & soaking up sun.
-
Not so happy, found a log by the food bowl

Our Bengal was esp "pesty" this morning - kept begging for breakfast. She likes eggs.
