Has anyone seen this yet? It is THE most fun I've had at a movie in at least 20 years. For those unfamiliar, it takes a whole bunch of familiar fairy tales (Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and more) and twists them together in a way that's demented, witty, at times surprisingly dark and ultimately quite beautiful. Highly, highly recommended.

I just saw it this evening and really enjoyed it. Plus I just learned that Chris Pine (Prince Charming) is the son of my brother's friend/neighbor who I've also Met. "Agony" got laughs and applause. Really well done.

You do know that Robert Pine played the Sgt. on C.H.I.P.S. don't you? (Erik Estrada as Ponch and Larry Wilcox as Jon) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075488/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Pine was absolutely hysterical as the slightly-too-charming Prince Charming. The casting of the movie was just about perfect, including Tracey Ullman (who has appeared in music videos with Paul) as Jack's mom.

Oh yes! I hear that everytime Robert is mentioned. He's a nice man. Has a wry sense of humor.

Not crazy about the fairy tales aspect, but Stephen Sondheim has written some fantastic songs, which makes me want to see this--also Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and a couple other faves or semi-faves, star. One hopes they all can sing. Wasn't Chris Pine a Star Trek movie captain Kirk?

Yes, he was in the last two Star Trek movies as Capt. Kirk (and they are filming a third)
