actually i love sport but im an olympics cynic as you may be aware.. however....much though the british sucsess at the 'diddy' sports hardly moved me,tonight was a different story.....amazing performances from the brilliant 'ellis' girl along with the long jumper and the 10 k guy.....amazing performances, makes you proud to be british ....did i really say that ...and look at the medals table...pound for pound we are easily the greatest nation on earth..eat your hearts out USA and CHINA......team GB are the best ...well done guys n girls
Hey, I'm actually happy the GB are doing well! You never want to see the host nation not have a good showing, and I'm glad you all are starting to pile up the hardware on the medal stand. Of course, I'm ALSO happy that Team USA is showing up at the games, as well.

i hope the bugger paid for his tickets.
The tickets are his payment for performing. Kind of like singing for his supper, except that I think he has to pay for his own snacks and beverages.

I would assume that Stella got a few tickets comped too!
Good point--it would make sense, wouldn't it, considering the work she did for GB. I know that Paul was saying he was going to see Ussain Bolt run, so I'm going to keep an eye out for Paul in the stands when the races start.

In some of the pics I saw, Mary was there too but she knows how to avoid the limelight.

Oh, I haven't seen her yet! She is really good about not getting photographed, isn't she? So many photographers hate having their picture taken...

And here's a poor quality recording of the "Hey Jude" singalong. Paul appears around the 45 second mark:

Paul McCartney is at the velodrome celebrating the womens team pursuit victory along with Nancy and Stella. I'll try to secure a screen grab. Martin Here you go: Larger image here: Click Here
Thanks Martin! He looks so good when he smiles like that!
Yes, Paul looks like he is indeed having a blast there! Happy for the family to have welcomed Nancy so warmly into the clan.

i hope the bugger paid for his tickets.
I thought I read on here that all the performers at the Opening/Closing ceremonies were given some tickets for free. Yes? No?
