Watched an interview earlier with Jimmy Steinfeldt Rock Photographer. He took a lot of good and famous photos. Took a great one of Paul!

Here’s the photo:

Prices a bit steep!

* As a side note: some of the Netflix list show some series shows and movies that are available in Canada or The U.K. , but not in the U.S.A.
I searched for a few and found this out.
Good to see the Paul photo.

* I once had a tremendous get-you-in-the-door cable package. Many premium and sports channels. They even extended it a few times. Then of course it went way way way up. Eventually they offered a different plan with HBO and Showtime and that seemed to be just fine. Then that went way up and they would not lower that type of plan, so I cut it down to a lower package. To keep me at that time they threw in Starz. I got Netflix and thought of "cutting the cable cord" ...(which can be done, but all in all to get close to the same it would cost in the beginning and the "Internet to the house" becomes the big cost. (They supply it and they know how to get money out of you. In many areas, they own the territory so you can't go to the competitor). Recently they had a "Binge Watch" week that looked like my old cable package. I watched Game of Thrones.
Some series shows that I have watched: Lost, Game of Thrones, Fringe, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Mad Men, The Sopranos, even Shameless, (the) Missing, Black Mirror, The Office (USA version), "24" , etc ... (This is probably getting boring by now).
Counterpart was pretty good of Starz. I have about 6 partially watched series shows on Netflix that I am likely to return to.
Now that the longer days of summer are here, I don't watch as much if I can be outside at all. (Sports) Especially Baseball at this time and some surfing during the game ... I end up on the fix up the house type of shows, cooking competitions, reruns and Undercover Boss type of shows that I can come and go at any time.
This wasn't supposed to be such a big deal and I made it one .... oh well.

You don’t need to apologize! It’s interesting to me to hear what people watch or have watched in the past. I watched Lost when it was originally on, then borrowed the DVDs from a friend and binge-watched the entire series. Really helped me to understand the plot!
I also watch Game of Thrones and collect all the DVDs - love this show! Also watched all the 24 shows and the U.S. The Office (reruns)
Another great show is on the History channel - Vikings. It’s on hiatus now.

Is anyone else watching Suits? I like Suits. Watching it on Amazon Prime.
I have Amazon Prime. Maybe this summer I can binge-watch it!
I watched it for a week and stopped for a week. It's intense. Now I'm back watching it. Lots of controlling characters in it. Hope you like it.
Finished Suits last night through Season 6. Prime doesn't have 7. Definitely worth the watch. I'll check out Season 7 from the library.

I rarely watch TV. Not for any pretentious reason, but because Chinese TV mostly sucks. The news is interesting, but the sports are confusing and the entertainment is mostly Korean soap operas, Japanese soap operas, Chinese soap operas, cooking shows, cooking competitions, shows with people eating but not telling you how to make the food, travel shows that are all about shopping and some of the strangest game shows on the face of the Earth.
Reading back a few pages, I recognize the titles of maybe 5% of the shows you guys watch and I've seen about 0% of them.
Back in my day, American TV was The Simpsons, Will & Grace, Full House, Murphy Brown, The X Files, Roseanne. Maybe I shouldn't mention that last one.

Lol! So, you have no way to receive American shows like via satellite? Just curious.

We have a video on demand sort of thing. It's mostly movies, but there are some TV options. The English shows are mostly British - Jamie Oliver, Mary Berry, Nigella Whateverhernameis, Gordon Ramsay, Stephen Fry's travel show, Joanna Lumley's travel show.
The American shows are wastes of time I can't belive Americans are actually watching. There are at least 2 shows about fixing cars and 1 or 2 about fixing motorcycles. That's like watching a mechanic give your car a tune up. Someone sat in that little waiting area corner with the chipping yellow paint and 5-year-old magazines and thought, "This would make a great TV show".
There are at least 2 shows about people who buy all the junk in old storage lockers and, miraculously, they always have an original Picasso or bag of 17th century gold coins hidden under the trash bags full of old dish rags.
There's a show set in a Detroit pawn shop that makes Americans look like wild animals. I think it's only available here so the Chinese government can say, "See? This is real America. It's nothing like Friends."

"The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" is whimsical and gently satiric with funny flashes of not too savage dark humor. I got to see several episodes at one of my sisters' house today. This will be its last season. Some of the dialogue is witty. I saw a bit of Kelly and Ryan, they look like brother and sister, almost too cutesy poo, she looks a tad anorexic and spouted silly nonsense about "Bible verse tattoos on side boob," vulgar and inane renarks. Kevin Costner's new t.v. Western show looks like a snore fest.
Would like to see some of the new Murphy Brown reboot. That show was so funny

Heard Kelly is quitting the show.
And Lucifer was picked up by Netflix. Now I will have to get my son or daughter’s password so I can continue to watch it!

FREE TO ROCK (2017 Rockumentary)
Extremely excellent movie on the story of rock n roll as it moved into The Soviet Union and eventually played a profound part in bringing down The Berlin Wall. I saw it on PBS this morning. Coolest and most beautiful thing I've seen in ages, and it has all the big name musicians that we love in it as well!

Not on where I live, but I saw a similar documentary a few years back. Would like to see this newer one.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES -TCM CHANNEL
8:00 PM EASTERN “THE MUSIC MAN” with the original version of “TILL THERE WAS YOU”
then after...
10:45PM EASTERN “A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” featuring the band who recorded a version of “Till There Was You” for their album “With The Beatles” and the bass player owns the music publishing. According to the wife of the song’s composer, Meredith Wilson, that version by The Beatles makes more money than the entire musical.

I can see I’m going to have to watch a bunch of these shows, they all look good. Won’t miss Roseann. Just joined PBS again to catch Civilizations. Watching the Paradise one now.

Roseanne will be back - now called The Conners - with same cast minus Barr.
