With cable getting so ridiculously expensive, when our contract runs out at the end of this year, we're either going back to DirecTV or just going to use FireStick exclusively & save $125/month. I'm also looking into buying a TIVO or another DVR. Any recommendations?

Was that Mark Hamill that guested on The Flash? I saw the commercial. I'll find out next Monday because The Flash was preoccupied or pre-empted by a local basketball show that I don't care about.
-
Switched At Birth tonite. Sorry that this is the last season. Show's going to go out with a bang. Superior Donuts is better than expected.

Yes, he plays the Trickster/James Jesse, but that was an episode from last Dec. It was the 3rd time he's played that character on The Flash. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000434/?ref_=nv_sr_1

If you go with DirecTV, you can get a DVR from them. (I have 2!) You don't have to buy them, you just pay a monthly fee, but the Primary TV is free. You pay a monthly fee for HD too. Also, they are now part of AT&T, so you get a discount if you bundle it with Internet, phone, and/or wireless service. I could get us both $ by referring you to them. I think you would just have to give them my account number. PM me if you decide to go with them.

Watching Halcyon, the British period show...of a great hotel in London during the 1940's and with the war breaking out. It's very good! So happy Grandchester is on PBS. Still waiting to buy the boxed set of Outlander. Missed Victoria, but am adding that to my weekend catch up shows On Demand

Doesn't Direct TV fail during rain and snow storms? The rest sounds good.

Only very infrequently for me. And we barely get any snow in Atlanta. One time the dish got covered with snow and all I had to do was brush it off to get the signal back. Luckily my dish is in the yard at the side of the house and not on the roof.

We used to have DirecTV years ago, but my husband got fed up with losing the signal every time it rained or snowed. We had Hughes Net internet & got rid of them after a few minutes. They were horrible. We may eventually go back to DirecTV, depending on the cost of the package, but no satellite internet ever again.
-
What is satellite internet? DirecTV is satellite TV, so why would you go back to that if you're worried about losing the signal with rain and snow? *confused*

Is the show "Stranger Things" good and also "OA"
-
I delayed watching Colony season 2 Just started watching again (I wanted to get behind - so I could catch up). I thought I was skipping and put on the wrong episode in sequence. I stopped it - checked the episode number and then continued. (in a few nano seconds - I caught on to what they were doing).

I don't know people's tastes in shows ..... I say about both - Watch the first one and you get the feel of the show. I watched the whole season of Stranger Things - OA can go in a few directions and I don't want to give anything away (I have only watched about 4 episodes so far) For both ..... I continued to watch after the first episodes. That is a good test .... to see if the shows hold your interest of not.

I don't spend much time watching tv as I'm up early to go to the gym for a couple of hours before I go to work. When I get home there are things to do around the house & I like to spend quality time w/ my wife. Having said that I do enjoy "The Big Bang Theory", Lucifer & F1 auto racing when it's on.
