Well it wouldn't leave the right taste in my mouth...Paul doesn't like to stop either. He's a go-go-go till the show's over kinda guy! This requires a lot of starting and stopping. And he wouldn't be able to banter in between album tracks!

Here's a promo clip on Heart's concert-DVD performance of Dreamboat Annie in its entirety:

Yeah, I have the DVD, and it really worked for them....since about half of their hits are on that album But seriously, that is a great disc, and the zeppelin covers are unreal too!

What on God's name are you ranting about? Make an effort here, my English skills don't go that far

Honestly, I would be dissapointed to hear any album in its entirety because there would be SO much left out. Even current Paul concerts, there is SO much left out....I couldn't pick one album that would do the whole body of work justice, and that is a good thing...artists like The Who, Steely Dan, Motley Crue...are letting themselves be defined by one album, not a lifetime of work.
I disagree completely and absolutely Performing a 40 minute complete album in a 150 minute show leaves plenty of room for other stuff. Elton John has a body of work bigger than Macca's and he still managed in 2005 to perform the (almost) full "Cpt. Fantastic" album live which spawned only 1 hit (Someone saved my life tonight). I'm sure Paul can do it as well. He's at that stage in his career where he should not be so desperate in giving people what they want up to the last sec.
Paul could easily do the whole of BOTR, that would take about an 1hr, then that leaves the rest for all the big songs that people expect him to play, a no brainer

I'm all for that! It could be argued that Paul has already done this sort of project (Run Devil Run and Live Kisses), but...

but...he hasn't done them in a concert setting. And maybe let's have him do a different album...BOTR is overplayed. Let's pick another. Maybe Electric Arguments?

I don't want Paul McCartney to do an all-Fireman show. I want The Fireman to do an all-Fireman show. As tired as I sometimes get of BOTR, I'd love to see it performed in its entirety. Every track is either a hit or very well-known, highly liked song.

And six of these nine songs are already well-rehearsed. 1 Band On The Run 2 Jet 3 Bluebird 4 Mrs. Vandebilt 5 Let Me Roll It 6 Mamunia 7 No Words 8 Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me) 9 Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five

I know...they are so well rehearsed that they are not minty fresh anymore...getting to be the opposite. I don't want it to be an all Fireman show. Only an hour. Then he could do the above songs that he has not performed lately.

Honestly, I'm not getting tired of any of those live! I've never heard Bluebird, so of course I would welcome that into the set at St. Louis...but for me, the show just would not be right without Band on The Run, Jet or, Let Me Roll It. I've had the pleasure of heraing Mrs. Vandebilt four times and 1985 three times so, while I love them both, I would be okay with their departure for another unheard song to my live ears.

I'm not necessarily getting tired of them...but there are sooo many more to hear. But toi be honest I could do without Jet & BOTR.

I understand Paul has a tendency to overplay songs just because of their popularity and overlooks masterpieces from other parts of his career....let's face it... he has such a huge, wide, versatile career and just touching on the 'hits' is pretty insecure of him. Having said that, I LOVE Jet. It's on my 'songs I could play over and over and never get tired of'' list. And its sound live is bloody amazing. I think some of us discussed it before... that spine-tingling brief drum intro... mmmmmm.

Exactly...you know it's coming, but what if it doesn't? That would be a bit horrifying to me...honestly, I think it would take away from the show a little bit. You've just gotten over the buzz of a rockin' opener and seeing PAUL and then.... BOO-KAH BOO-KAH! Baaa ba ba daaaaa!

Hahahaha. Even reading it gives me a thrill! BOO-KAH BOO-KAH BAAA BA BA DAAAAA! Love it!! When I saw Paul at the Royal Albert Hall he cut out heaps of songs INCLUDING JET!! I was upset the most at Jet being cut. He was about 5 or 6 songs in and I suddenly thought "....aren't we meant to be hearing the boo-kah boo-kah baaa ba ba daaah by now??"

Poor kid! I heard Bluebird in concert in Buenos Aires and from outside the stadium during soundcheck in Montevideo. That's how we, the poor people, hear the soundchecks.
