Predict Next Setlist
-
Fool on the Hill & Penny Lane should always be on his setlist. Both are great songs.
-
we have just had the first 50th anniversary of 'love me do' i believe predictably paul will spend the next few years celebrating predictable anniversary's of many of the beatles signiture early tunes...look out for the likes of 'she loves you' and latter 'cant buy me love' to be introduced to his set.

He's done Can't Buy Me Love in the past 10 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if he dusted that one off. She Loves You would be interesting, though, as I can't even recall when/if he played that one before...still looking for some Wings/solo anniversary songs.
-
She Loves You could be featured, though if he's still doing All You Need Is Love he does sing the bit in the outro.

With Magical Mystery Tour being released on Blue Ray tomorrow, my guess is that the "new" song Paul and the band will add to the set list for next months tour is "Your Mother Should Know".
I hadn't even factored in MMT. With that being remastered, he just may open with that the whole tour....can't say I'd dislike that, but I heard it last summer and it was PHENOMENAL nad a total surprise for me and I was really fortunate it was a good night for that song, but I've heard some others that weren't so hot...of course, this does open the door for "Your Mother Should Know" to finally be performed, I would love it and my grandmother would REALLY flip! It would be great to hear The Fool on The Hill or Penny Lane too...the album is packed with a powerful pop punch from Paul -Magical Mystery Tour -The Fool on The Hill -Your Mother Should Know -Hello Goodbye -Penny Lane He should play ALL these! I'd be ECSTATIC!
Four of those five he's done on other tours. They're all great songs -- classics -- but I'm not sure I'd want to hear half of the Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack in one concert.
Yeah, but since 2009 when he started these mini-tours, only MMT and Hello Goodbye have appeared, alternating, as the opener...and I think he's pulled Penny Lane out on the oddball UK Christmas Show or two. Fool on The Hill hasn't been done since 2003 and of course Your Mother Should Know has NEVER been played!
So, you're more of a Beatles fan, sounds like.

Well, yeah, I don't think that's some big secret. I think there are many post-beatle songs that are better than Beatles songs but really, why even make the difference? I just think of it all as Paul's music and the 1965-1977 range was a sweet one for him, so I'd say I'm mostly a fan of that. But, gosh...isn't it obvious I love it ALL!? I mean, I'm missing school to fly to St. Louis to see the man!!!
-
i'm also missing school to go. My first paul concert! but it's in Houston, which is on a wednesday. St. Louis is on a sunday, so why wouldn't you just leave 'till saturday? Are you going for a paul scavenger hunt?
-
It's nice to see all these young rascals skipping school to see Paul. At least when we, the old farts, are dead and gone they will carry the torch.
-
I would have...

We're flying in Sunday morning, it's Monday I'll be missing because of the flight back.

Just by looking at recent set lists, it would seem Paul McCartney is also amore of a Beatles fan too.
-
I know this would never happen, as much as I like the Beatles, I would like to see a show with just his wings and solo stuff. Just pure McCartney.

I get what you're saying, and there are tons of tracks from that era...but it really wouldn't be "pure" McCartney...he existed as a songwriting force in the 60's as well.
-
He already did "Come and get it", so why not "Step inside love" or "Goodbye"?
-
Why not "I'll be on my way"??

Because John sings lead.
