I learnt about the male G-spot.....in a british tabloid newspaper! Not really what you wanna read about over your morning croissants and coffee.... I'm very broadminded, some would go so far as to say I've got the broadest mind known to man (and the smallest intellect), BUT REALLY!! (Butt being the operative word). For those who want to know the ins and outs of such stuff and who are able to get into the position advised in the article, and more importantly able to extricate themselves from it (I can just about position myself in front of the bathroom mirror to trim my nasal hair and even then I come over all faint!), please DO NOT PM me just go to Mirror.co.uk! (....now we know why George Michael and Sir Elton have smiles on their faces most of the time)

Don't you believe those prescriptive language fascists! If Americans ever use it, then it's a word in their language. And anyway, if you look up "learnt" in the (fairly conservative) Websters dictionary, it does havean entry, which says:
chiefly British past and past participle of LEARN
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/learnt Only "chiefly" British - so they're not ruling it out altogether in Americanese!
