VIP Packages

I was unable to access VIP ticket packages for Dodger Stadium via PM.com and bought through Tickets.com Am I ok? Will I still receive instructions?
Hi, Some venues opt for ticket sellers other than Ticketmaster. Tickets.com is the ticket seller for the Dodgers. Yes, you should receive VIP instructions in the usual way via an e-mail about one week or so prior to the concert. Have you received a ticket purchase confirmation e-mail from Tickets.com? I hope this helps. Anita

Is it certain that AMEX presale has the option of purchasing VIP packages when they go on sale tomorrow? I thought the AMEX presale has only select seats which fans can select from? I thought that once you put in your AMEX card, then you have no other options after and you just have to "search for tickets" with the quantity I wanted. Somebody told me that when I put in my AMEX number, then I have the option to select a VIP Package if I wanted to. I just want to confirm this.

Hi, Unfortunately, I am not at all certain as to which levels of tickets will be offered via the American Express pre-sale and therefore cannot offer confirmation to you. I would suggest that prior to the opening of the pre-sale, you contact your customer service representative via the customer service number located on the back of your American Express card. Anita

Hi, I'm a bit new to this. I bought a front row VIP Package ticket for my boyfriend for $2,000 because his credit card didn't have a high enough limit. Now I see where the ticket is not transferable, does that mean I'm screwed out of 2k? I'm out of town and can't go, it is supposed to be his ticket now I'm panicking. He wanted that package to go to the sound check. HELP!
-
The person that bought the ticket (CC name) has to pick it up. He could use the ticket for the concert-but won't get into SC unless you are there. I've been to many sound checks and that's usually the protocol.....
-
This is a question I had too. You HAVE to pick your ticket up, they don't deliver it to your house via mail?
-
No, you get your ticket-but they have a list of names that purchased the SC package, and they check off your name as you go in to wait for the SC. So someone could buy a SC ticket for someone else BUT the purchaser of the ticker has to be there (because that is the name that is on the check in list) Make sense?
-
Oh god, I am soooo screwed if this is true. I CAN'T go! He's the huge fan not me. Surely other people buy tickets for friends. Can I just give him my credit card and a note to take to the show? I'm not a scalper. He really wanted to go to the sound check. I only bought the one ticket for him. Since it's my email can't I tell them when they contact me with the sound check info that he'll be the one going?
-
You can try, but SC info doesn't usually come until a week or so before the concert. Maybe try to contact where you bought the ticket from? Yes other people do buy tickets for friends, but as I said, the purchaser of the ticket has to be there, because of the name. Maybe he can call you when it's time to check in? Worse case scenario (with the note and CC) is that he only gets into the concert...

They don't realize people buy for friends?
-
Of course they do-I have already said that BUT USUALLY the person that BOUGHT the VIP pkg has to be there because it is their name on the check in list. It says in black and white that VIP pkgs cannot be transferred-he can use the ticket for the concert. I gave the OP a couple of ideas to try-only thing against him getting in is SC pkgs are not transferrable. I've been to 16 sound checks in the past few years and I'm just saying what it has been like those times. The OP asked a question and I answered it-don't shoot the messenger.

Try contacting customer service and see if they can resolve it. http://slotix.com/contact-us

This could be their way of stopping the scalpers. If a VIP soundcheck ticket costs $1500-2000.00 can you imagine what a scalper would get? OMG! So... the friend has to be present.

And even if both parties are present reselling could be occurring. But I think some allowance should be made in cases that evidently are honest mistakes.

Have you noticed if there has been any gluten-free/dairy-free food at the post-sound check reception. I might be stuck with water only if not. Maybe a raw veggie tray?

I've been to a few sound checks and I don't ever remember seeing any food labeled gluten free or dairy free.

perhaps pack your own meal and bring it along and explain to the staff your dietary issues. i am sure they'd be happy to accommodate you!

That is what I was thinking. I could put something in a disposable container that I could throw out if they threw a fit. I can understand for general admission they want you to pay for venue food. But we are getting a meal as part of our package so in a sense we already paid for it and I'm paying again to prepare and bring in my own food.

My advice would be to contact both the venue and Slotix about the dietary restrictions. At the only one I did, there was plenty of cheese and crackers. I doubt the crackers were gluten-free.
