My advice would be to contact both the venue and Slotix about the dietary restrictions. At the only one I did, there was plenty of cheese and crackers. I doubt the crackers were gluten-free.
And, it would be so, so, so easy for them to serve rice crackers. I know lots of non-gluten free folks who prefer them with cheese. Doesn't give the bloated feeling like wheat. Add some white grapes to that and a glass of wine and yum! You've got a happy gluten-freer.
-
I don't make the menu.
-
Rice crackers would rock. Can't do the wine because of the yeast, but I'm okay with water. Gotta stay hydrated to sing along with Paul all night.

Hi, I'm a bit new to this. I bought a front row VIP Package ticket for my boyfriend for $2,000 because his credit card didn't have a high enough limit. Now I see where the ticket is not transferable, does that mean I'm screwed out of 2k? I'm out of town and can't go, it is supposed to be his ticket now I'm panicking. He wanted that package to go to the sound check. HELP!
De-lurking to say...I found myself in the same pickle! I bought two of the Front Row tix, and had to use my mom's credit card, because i didn't have enough of a limit on mine. I contacted the Slo VIP folks customer service, and got a very nice response - - here's what has to happen for a VIP/soundcheck transfer:
To make a request to change from the original purchaser?s name to an alternate name, we would need the following items e-mailed to us: ? Photo or scan of purchaser?s photo ID ? Photo or scan of alternate attendee photo ID ? Something showing a relationship between the two parties (proof of same last name, same address, a working relationship with a co-worker, etc.) ? Your original e-mail purchase confirmation which contains your order number, etc. Please note: This transfer does not change your ticket distribution method or ticket pick-up method (will-call, e-ticket, mailed tickets, etc.); only the VIP check-in. If you need to change the name on the ticket pick-up or method of distribution, you will need to contact the point of purchase. Even though all packages are non-transferable and non-refundable as noted at the time of purchase, this is an exception that we may be able to provide if all of the above conditions are met. These steps have been put into place in an effort to protect the purchaser, as well as the new attendee, from any type of ticket fraud.
Hope that's helpful to them as need it! [re-lurks] ETA: here's their email: slocustomerservice@slotix.com

Hope everyone gets in okay!

Soundcheck for this leg of the tour was as great as they've been the past several years!

In Chicago, there was a very nice pre-soundcheck reception and then the soundcheck itself was very cool. But as I wrote elsewhere, I have 2 outgoing nits to pick with the soundcheck: 1. The fans are kept far away. For the ones I've been to, we've been about 40-50 yards away from the stage which is disappointingly distant. 2. The security people treat the "VIP" people with unnecessary rudeness and a bullying attitude. The pre-concert receptions/meals have all been outstanding. The "goodie bag" is usually a very nice package. In Chicago, it was an "Out There" backpack with a program and travel mug. Many people have suggested they include a redeemable voucher for a t-shirt at the concession stand since a t-shirt everyone would love (as opposed to the travel mug, I guess). Now, the VIP seats we had this last time were to the right of center in the 3rd row. The camera crane on that side was a constant distraction that often blocked the view and it gets pretty annoying at times. So IMHO, the VIP seats should all be in the center section because the side sections turned out to be obstructed views. But it's still awesome to be close to the stage.

Our VIP seats were even worse than that in Chicago. I was on the aisle...end of the row on Brian's side. 3rd row...but way far away. And I also had the camera boom in my way. The soundcheck was way crowded. We were 3 rows deep. All smashed in trying to get a better view.

Just to demonstrate my point about where we were sitting...can you find Paul? Yes, I too think VIP seats should be in the center. Thank God I bought a new camera & it has a GREAT zoom!

I agree ! This was my third sc...last year we got a backpack, this year another backpack. I'm not of an age that I would ever use this ! My first year was a nice tote bag - Paul has even been pictured using it on trips ! There was also a cool messenger bag a few years back. Travel mugs are nice, but again I have 3 now ! I liked that we got the program this time.Cool. Food was very good, but it all depends on the venue. As far as sc itself...I don't know why they can't put us up a bit closer....maybe even just 10 rows closer than we were.We were so far away the guys were straining & squinting their eyes to try & see us "out there ". Security would still have control of us, we could see Paul & band better & they could see us too ! We are paying the big bucks to be a part of this...& on a small note, why is Shelley giving out guitar picks in some cities & not others? We all should be getting one at the sc,if she has them. I was hoping to get one & we didn't get any in Chicago, but Albany & Fargo did. Don't get me wrong,I love the sc experience...Once you do it,you don't want to go back to 'regular" seating !! I just wish they would change a few things up now.

I remember on the 1993 tour, programs were free, you could get multiple copies, and guitar picks could be had by the handful for free. For regular concert goers!
-
Since we had so many - 150 - they should have made more room for us.spread us out a bit.ther'e was certainly enough room, without squishing us togather like that

I know. We were 3 rows deep. And unfortunately I was in the middle row. There should be a different set up or diff rules when there are 50 as opposed to 150.
