So sad about George, didn't realize it was the other day. Wondering how old George is in that photo, he looks so young.
That's a George selfie in 1966 in front of The Taj Mahal when they were in India. He was around 24? God Bless His Good And Godly Soul

And I thought it was his son! I also thought most good cameras (then) were bulky & clumsy to assure a good selfie.

Do you remember that Linda Eastman/McCartney came from the famous Eastman Kodak family who introduced different styles of lightweight instamatic cameras in 1963? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instamatic

Linda did not come from the Eastman Kodak family.

Thanks, I really liked that photo. Hope he wasn't alone there? Such a beautiful tribute to a loved one, the Taj Mahal. It was so sad to see that photo of Princess Diana there at the end of her marriage. George's soul is in a Godly place, no doubt... Interesting to see the Instamatic camera again... Have one and a Brownie and a Polaroid around here somewhere... Funny, heard that rumor about Linda years ago...
-
I remember now that it was not true. Her being a photographer named Eastman probably started the rumor. The "Instamatic" camera introduced in 1963 is a fact although. I presume that the selfie was taken while The Beatles were in India with the Maharishi.

Every year for now 34 years, I have remembered John Winston Ono Lennon on his birthday and December 08th. Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) - Elton John Tribute to John:

I know it sounds cliche`ish ...... I try to remember John Lennon on his Birthday ..... all the songs and great treasures creatively that he gave all of us .... (yes I do think of him on that last day .... and it still hits hard ) .... ((and I feel that frustrated anger ....)) I try to remember the songs, stories, artwork and interviews that inspired me ..... when growing up - to get through some of my tough times .... with great music being the background of it all
