RIP...for all that have passed

I loved Katherine Helmond on the show “Soap.” She was so ditzy funny - my favorite bit was when someone was talking about Plato being gay and she thought they said Pluto and exclaimed, “Mickey Mouse’s dog was GAY?!”

Luke Perry, 52. Way too young.
Strokes terrify me. An old friend of mine had a stroke at just about the age Luke Perry had his, and it left him severely disabled. He eventually died about 5-6 years later, never having regained the ability to walk or speak properly. So sad. (weird stuff is happening with this post. Hope it looks ok)

I agree! So sad! A guy I knew who played George Harrison in a Beatles tribute band died of a stroke in his late 50s 2 1/2 years ago. What was really sad was that he survived leukemia in 2002!

Shelley Lazar, Founder of SLO Ticketing, Dies at 69
In 2014, at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park, McCartney performed “San Francisco Bay Blues,” an early hit for the Weavers, and dedicated it to her. He speaks about her at length in the video included in the tweet below, saying “You want tickets for anything? Shelley’s the go-to,” then apologizes, realizing what he’d set her up for. She can be seen smiling and waving at the end of that video, and this one of McCartney performing the song.
