KingMacca:
tons of tix for the second show available on TM. crazy. funny how DC in 2013 was such a hot ticket but 2016 may be headed the groupon route
The second night was not needed...but Paul and his peeps are always looking for $$$$$. Night one did not sell out immediately, so I'm not sure why they felt the need for this.
They're trying to pull an Amsterdam on this one ;).
-
Did they cancel the second night in Amsterdam? Sure hope they don't for DC. I have a much better tix for the second night.
-
I hope they don't cancel the 2nd D.C. show cause I just ordered a ticket in Section 2. Been thinking about it and just wasn't satisfied till I got a center floor seat. I have a side view ticket in Section 218 that I will sell for half off face value.
-
I still feel like these shows will sell out despite poor sales. There was an article in billboard last year about the Rolling Stones tour and how the stadiums were only half sold and the promotor boldly said the shows are all definite sellouts and that they are doing special marketing that sells the show out but over a period of time or something like that. I feel like that is happening here too. I was at Columbia last year and floor seats were still available the week of the show. The show didn't even sell out until 3 hours before it started.
-
If you will be using the Metro system, it was just announced that it will be closing at midnight with no exceptions That means it may be wise to leave the show at 11:00 or 11:15 p.m. I feel like I am insulting Paul by doing that! Who would we contact to have the show start at 7:30 p.m.?
-
I plan on taking Metro. The last train leaves the starting point at midnight, right?

I think it varies by station... http://www.wmata.com/about_metro/news/PressReleaseDetail.cfm?ReleaseID=6104

Thanks. I checked and the last train leaves Gallery Place metro at 12:05 a.m. Surely they will run trains on a rush hour schedule I hope! One year I was able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the Dept. of Labor rooftop and the train going home was so packed that a little boy nearly had his glasses knocked off.

I just broke open my "piggy bank" and ordered a ticket from Stub Hub for Row E in Section 2. Should have tried early for Gold VIP with the pre-sale but so be it. Just means I'll have less money but the memory should be worth it .
-
I am trying to sell three tickets. They are listed on the Face Value Thread. I am selling BELOW face value so you really are getting a good deal. PM if interested.

Has anyone been to the Verizon Center in the summer before? I am wondering if they blast the air conditioning. I sure can't figure out what to wear; jeans and a long sleeve cotton tee or a casual skirt with a short sleeve tee. Comments and suggestions appreciated! I bought a 3/4 sleeve cotton tee with a blackbirds print. I think it will be fine in the arena but hot waiting to get in.

You have a seat on the floor, right? I've never been to that particular venue but in arenas it is rarely cold on the floor. The seats are always super close together so even when everyone stands, you are very close to the people next to you.

Floor seating at Verizon Center is HOT. Sitting in the stands near the stage is HOT. The only way you'll be cold is up top and in the back.

Thanks; now I know that my 3/4 sleeve blackbirds print top even though it is cotton will be too hot. Going for a v neck tee and casual skirt. I sure thought it would be ice cold in the Verizon Center in the summer! I wonder how the band deals with the heat though I noticed they have fans, and Paul doesn't even take a sip of water!!!!

So excited!!! My center floor ticket arrived today. The broker upgraded me to Row B. Second row!!!! Still hoping to sell the tickets I have listed. I am selling for half price. PM if interested.
-
Since I am not using these and they aren't selling, I might as well give one each to someone who appreciates Paul. Tuesday, August 9 Section 111,Row M, Seat 1 Wednesday, August 10 Section 218, Row E, Seat 5 (side view of stage) PM your choice with your name/address and I will send in the mail to you. First come, first served.

Dia, I sent you a PM.

I'm thinking of going down to the DC shows- I've never been down there. Does anyone know if the train from Boston stops anywhere near the Verizon Center? Are there safe hotels within walking distance of the arena? Feel free to PM me with any other info that would be helpful for a first time visitor ! oh yeah, will be looking for tickets too lol!

First night is just about sold out, you'll have to go with stubhub etc. however night two has plenty of seats left still. "Safe" is questionable...Union Station is very close to Verizon Center though!
