What a difference it makes, right? This heat and humidity is brutal this year!!
I've spent the whole summer with just the portable air conditioner in my kitchen, sleeping with 3 fans on me. Last night I turned that central air on low and had a blanket, it was the best night's sleep the whole summer!!! I can't believe how happy it's made me

Yes! It makes such a difference. You HAVE to be comfy when you sleep.

Got another used book buying expedition to look forward to, in South Carolina...in Myrtle Beach and/or Florence...and maybe in Fayetteville in N.C. before that.
My sis I live with f--------d up some of the books I'd found before I could read them. By being careless about rain leaks through the roof, etc., the location of books in her room. Learned my lesson and next time I buy a big batch of books from Goodwill and other thrift shops, I'll just give her two at a time to read, not a bunch at one time. It's a lot of work and time spent in picking out books, finding good books to read. But I love it. I used to buy great books very cheaply on eBay and Amazon and need to get into that, again. And from other used book sources online.
I was the one who somehow marred some library books I'd checked out, though. She never messed up any of those. The library kept making me pay to replace them. It's like there was a run of bad luck or a curse on it for me at one time. I learned to be extra super careful with those. There were some freak accidents with some books.

Drew Barrymore's new talk Show to celebrate life

I bought a new car. I'm not usually impressed by that sort of thing, but this car is a work of art. It has a 550 horsepower, 4 liter biturbo V8 with 8 speed PDK all wheel drive. They tell me it can go from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 306km/h, but none of that really does any good where I live. The top freeway speed is 110, and I'm lucky if the car at the red light in front of me can go from 0 to 50 in 3.8 hours.
It looks a little something like this (assuming pictures show up on this site):

A brand new 2019 Porsche Panamera Turbo that I bought in 2020. The year difference is kind of a long story.

British actress Keira Knightly revealed her five year old daughter Delilah is a huge Beatles fan, insisting their movies be shown over and over and that she "screams" when Paul McCartney comes on screen. He's her favorite. That's really cute. Just five years old, and the little girl loves their music.
Knightly thinks their movies aren't very good, however. I guess she's tired of seeing them, too.

Drew Barrymore has her new talk show emphasizing nothing but positive news. She has also been interviewing many of her friends.
I noticed the music at the very very end of her show and it sounds like a small bit from the Fireman. Does anyone also hear that? It would be off of Electric Arguments which is one of my most fav albums
