That skydive is on again. Live coverage on YouTube right now:

The video stream has a 10 - 15 second delay as there exists a genuine and real danger of tragic consequences. Martin

All over, records broken - if not all they hoped: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19943590 Amongst my respect for the technology that enabled this heroic act, a large portion of my respect goes out to the secondary technology that enabled live video coverage throughout.... We're still waiting on the actual max speed achieved to see if he did indeed break the sound barrier (Mach 1) during his free-fall. He didn't break the free-fall time record breaking his parachute out before reaching that time. I wonder if his visor fogging did prevent him reading instruments? Seeing him spinning after the initial free-fall was scary and I joined the ground crews relief when he clearly attained a stable position. Looking forward to the press conference and more details from him. Martin

Just watched this on Discovery, and holy shit! When that guy stepped out of the pod!? that was breathe-taking! I was slightly disappointed he didn't hold of on pulling the parachute chord a little longer, to get that 'longest free fall' record. I wonder what the reason was? I mean he had it in his grasps.. he needed about 5 more seconds or something... but that was riveting television. and something I'd never do in a million years I personally thought that dude was committing suicide. Bravo!

its like trying to catch the sun on the water..

Yes, it really was something to see. The spinning got me worried too. Thought he may have passed out.

It was interesting that they left his 'mic' on while falling. - he was surprisingly calm. I figured it would be more like "oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit..."

It did go out once & that's exactly what I thought. Either swearing or CRYING!

New footage released - from the camera located on Felix's chest: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/see-baumgartner-jump-amazing-headcam-footage-124013205.html The BBC and Discovery Channel secured the documentary rights to this attempt and there'll be a dedicated programme in about four weeks time which will feature more unique footage from the attempt. Looking forward to that. Martin
