The show is still a few months away. I'm thinking/hoping it's a bit too far away to go cancelling it.
Provided ticket sales are strong he won't cancel the show. If not and he decides to cancel, he'll have an excuse to use (as he did here).
Show sold out in 5 minutes, fastest sellout in fenway park history. So I guess that excuse is out the window.

Senseless act. My best wishes go to the people of Boston and those directly affected. However, does this mean a "postponement" or cancellation of the upcoming show? Surely Paul wouldn't think of such a thing. Oh wait a minute. That's what he did in 2002. He didn't think it would be wise to be seen having fun after the bombing in Bali killed over 80 Australians. Hypocrite!
Remember Madrid 04? He played there soon after a tragedy. Of course that concert was fully subscribed. Seemingly only when his ticket sales are slow, does he fall back on a tragedy...as an excuse. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/10/27/1035683303017.html

And I want to add my best wishes too, to all the Bostonians and others directly affected. Thinking of you here...Melbourne is Boston's "sister city" so our ties are close.

Not to mention that he organized the Concert for NYC right after 9/11. Paul will want to go to Boston after this... there's no way he'll cancel, as it's not in his nature.

Yes he has sold out.........to the almighty dollar!

I don't go to work for free. Why should Paul?

There's a difference between working for a living and someone with a billion dollars in the bank. McCartney doesn't need to work for a living, he chooses to and he engages in producing an art form. Of course he should expect to be remunerated for doing so. That's not my point. To continually say he wants to play places that he hasn't before and then consciously decide to always play to the Americas smacks of doing so for money and/or pandering to his ego. Ergo, he's sold out to the almighty dollar. His choice of course but that doesn't mean we all have to agree with it. Sorry to reply to your post, contrary to your instructions but you did ask me a question.

McCartney changed after Linda died. Ever since then he's been a markedly different man. I will not go into it here, but I'm sure you know what I mean Graystoke...
-
Yes, I know what you mean. Not sure exactly when I started noticing but it was certainly after Linda's passing.

All The Best to everyone in Boston!

Does anyone here know what time of day or rough location where Paul would be entering Fenway the day of the show? I've seen all these videos of Paul entering various shows and I thought it would be cool to try and see him before the show like that. Just wondering if anyone here did that the last time he was in Boston and could give me a rough idea.

Anyone know how long roughly it takes the red sox ticket office to ship out tickets? Just wondering if its really going to be until June or so before they send out tickets. Not sure how long it usually takes.

Most husbands do change a bunch when they lose their wife of almost 30 years. The only time Paul and Linda were apart was when he was in the Japenese prison.

Just 73 days until showtime! That's only 1752 hours! Or 105,120 minutes! Or 6,307,200 seconds! Ok.. it seems to far away in seconds.. let's stick to days
