I was curious to see what the highlights were for some of you "out there"! For me, seeing both Mr. Kite and Lovely Rita performed live was the biggest thrill! I guess anytime I see Paul perform a song from Pepper I think, "This was never supposed to be played live!" yet hearing something like Mr. Kite being played flawlessly is a pure marvel to me. Also standing and waiting for Paul to arrive in DC and being less then six feet away from him as he stuck his head outside the SUV and waved. Was probably the closest I'll ever get to meeting him and made the day even greater. Last but not least getting to stand outside the venue before the show and listen (and see on the screen) perform sound check. Specifically hearing him sing Penny Lane which is one of my favorite Beatles songs. What are your highlights?

I got to go to the Seattle show on this tour, and that far and away was the best Paul show I've been to. It was awesome to see all of the new songs that are brand new to this tour, and, of course, the encore featuring the surviving members of Nirvana was unforgettable!

For me, since the Boston show was the first time I ever saw Paul in concert, THAT in and of itself was the best part. Everything about the show was fantastic, and it was extra special because I got to go to it with my mum, who is also a massive fan, and she's always been there for me and nurtured my love of music (as has my dad), but she's always been a bit more indulgent of me, so it was nice to share that experience with her.

I don't even know where to start. The whole day was a highlight from start to finish, with every little moment building the anticipation until finally he walked out on stage! That said, my top five moments from Regina are... 1) Brian replying to my tweet welcoming them to the prairies, and then seeing Rusty outside the mall (Didn't say anything because I didn't want to bug him, but still... so cool.) 2) Hanging out outside the venue in the sunshine for a couple of hours waiting for Paul's arrival, then being just FEET away from him as he waved out the window! This was the first time I cried yesterday, but definitely not the last. 3) Getting to hear the soundcheck from outside while standing in line. Especially "Jet" and "Things We Said Today". What a treat! 4) Can I just say everything about the concert? I cried so much, danced so much, and screamed until I nearly lost my voice. Paul absolutely blew me away. His voice was in top form, the set list was very nearly perfect, and the band killed it. There's something really special about hearing some of these songs at this stage in Paul's life. "Yesterday" becomes something way more poignant than just a love ballad when it's sung at 71. Oh... and he looked right at me and read my sign! Highlight of my life right there. 5) Getting to share all this with my mum, who is the sole reason I've always known & loved Paul. Amazing.

I forgot to also add, just being in DC. It was the first time ever being there and thinking, this is where The Beatles first played a concert in America. I didn't get a chance to check out the old Washington Coliseum, but the atmosphere at the ball park was amazing, especially with the fireworks during Live and Let Die. Also when the confetti blasts out after The End. No one puts on a better show.

I'm grateful I got to see Paul twice this summer, in DC and at Outside Lands last Friday. DC was great because I got to sit up close for the first time at a Paul concert. Paul also read the sign (not out loud of course) I was holding and then gave me a little smile and nod. It was also great to hear songs like "Another Day" "Lovely Rita" and "Mr. Kite" among others. Outside Lands: the highlight was most certainly hearing "Yesterday" sung with a live string quartet.

Best overall show: Bonnaroo...hands down!! (Please release blu ray of this!) Best personal highlight: taking my two daughters (8 & 10 yrs) to the Winnipeg show; seeing Paul from the 7th Row! Exquisite show, with a tear-jerking performance of Mull of Kintyre, which I had not seen before live!!

Hmmmm... for me, the Out There tour highlight had to be when it looked like McCartney was going to do a show in New Mexico on May 26, I got all excited, and then he didn't. That would be it for me!!

Having seen Paul three times on this tour (Memphis, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee), this is what I've taken away from my "Out There" experience: 1. Memphis: High expectations for me after seeing him last in St. Louis in November 2012. He was at the top of his "On The Run" game that night, afterall. First time "Out There"...finally hearing a lot of songs I've always wanted to hear. "Hi, Hi, Hi", "Listen To What The Man Said", and "Your Mother Should Know" are songs I never thought I'd hear live after seeing Paul during "On The Run" tour. It was just awesome all the way. Also, seeing Paul's arrival at the Forum was a personal highlight! (my avatar photo). 2. Indianapolis: My best seats. Treated myself on these tickets as the venue was smaller and more intimate than a stadium. The sound was incredible. I'll never forget feeling the bass notes of "1985" while Paul went to town that night with killer vocals and the piano more alive than ever. The electricity of the crowd going into "Eight Days a Week" was unmatched in my experience. It was the best sonic experience for me. Also, that new twist on the end of "Band On The Run" really caught me off guard that night, but I liked it! (4:09 mark in the video link below)

                              3. Milwaukee: Hearing soundcheck from the parking lot was awesome (finally heard "C Moon"!). Otherwise, it was my least favorite of the 3. With the heat at its worst, the entrance and show-start delays, and the mess that was the Miller Park concert staff - it was awful compared to the previous 2. People were in our seats, staff said they had double-booked. They had no answer for us except to stand in an obstructed view area before finally moving us 3 songs later to make-shift seating. Didn't really care for the sound in Miller Park either compared to an arena. However, my admiration and respect for Paul increased after watching him persevere through that humidity and heat while performing at nearly three-times my age. Incredible. A great show from Paul, but a rough experience for me. P.S. - I hope a live album comes out of this tour. Either compiled from the tour, or from one specific show (Seattle, please!). GENYC was a great live album, but this one would take my favorite since Back In The World/US.

I was lucky to see two shows (Brooklyn and Quebec City) and both were magnificent! I enjoyed both just as much. Seeing him perform Ram On in Quebec was definitely a highlight for me. I adore that song, so when a guy in the audience asked for it and he just agreed, it was very special for me. The other big highlight (and something I'll never ever forget) was to see him at the Colbert Report in New York. We had just went to New York to see him, so when I heard he was doing the show, I knew I had to try. I only managed to get tickets the morning of, but it was such an amazing experience. To see him that close, so casual... Also, he performed 9 songs for us (an audience of 150!) and that was spectacular. I never though I would be able to see him in such an intimate setting. The interview was fun too! Also, he passed about three feet from me as he was leaving...

                                  (1) Best song added back: "Hi, Hi, Hi" (2) Best moment: "Yesterday" w/Kronos Quartet" (3) Best show: Outside Lands (4) Best new city: Austin (the two shows were almost completely comparable. but the "feel" of the OL crowd on "Hey Jude", and the aforementioned Yesterday just edged out the Austin show).
