The highlights for you (so far) from the Out There tour

Best overall show: Bonnaroo...hands down!! (Please release blu ray of this!) Best personal highlight: taking my two daughters (8 & 10 yrs) to the Winnipeg show; seeing Paul from the 7th Row! Exquisite show, with a tear-jerking performance of Mull of Kintyre, which I had not seen before live!!

Hmmmm... for me, the Out There tour highlight had to be when it looked like McCartney was going to do a show in New Mexico on May 26, I got all excited, and then he didn't. That would be it for me!!

Having seen Paul three times on this tour (Memphis, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee), this is what I've taken away from my "Out There" experience: 1. Memphis: High expectations for me after seeing him last in St. Louis in November 2012. He was at the top of his "On The Run" game that night, afterall. First time "Out There"...finally hearing a lot of songs I've always wanted to hear. "Hi, Hi, Hi", "Listen To What The Man Said", and "Your Mother Should Know" are songs I never thought I'd hear live after seeing Paul during "On The Run" tour. It was just awesome all the way. Also, seeing Paul's arrival at the Forum was a personal highlight! (my avatar photo). 2. Indianapolis: My best seats. Treated myself on these tickets as the venue was smaller and more intimate than a stadium. The sound was incredible. I'll never forget feeling the bass notes of "1985" while Paul went to town that night with killer vocals and the piano more alive than ever. The electricity of the crowd going into "Eight Days a Week" was unmatched in my experience. It was the best sonic experience for me. Also, that new twist on the end of "Band On The Run" really caught me off guard that night, but I liked it! (4:09 mark in the video link below)
3. Milwaukee: Hearing soundcheck from the parking lot was awesome (finally heard "C Moon"!). Otherwise, it was my least favorite of the 3. With the heat at its worst, the entrance and show-start delays, and the mess that was the Miller Park concert staff - it was awful compared to the previous 2. People were in our seats, staff said they had double-booked. They had no answer for us except to stand in an obstructed view area before finally moving us 3 songs later to make-shift seating. Didn't really care for the sound in Miller Park either compared to an arena. However, my admiration and respect for Paul increased after watching him persevere through that humidity and heat while performing at nearly three-times my age. Incredible. A great show from Paul, but a rough experience for me. P.S. - I hope a live album comes out of this tour. Either compiled from the tour, or from one specific show (Seattle, please!). GENYC was a great live album, but this one would take my favorite since Back In The World/US. -
I was lucky to see two shows (Brooklyn and Quebec City) and both were magnificent! I enjoyed both just as much. Seeing him perform Ram On in Quebec was definitely a highlight for me. I adore that song, so when a guy in the audience asked for it and he just agreed, it was very special for me. The other big highlight (and something I'll never ever forget) was to see him at the Colbert Report in New York. We had just went to New York to see him, so when I heard he was doing the show, I knew I had to try. I only managed to get tickets the morning of, but it was such an amazing experience. To see him that close, so casual... Also, he performed 9 songs for us (an audience of 150!) and that was spectacular. I never though I would be able to see him in such an intimate setting. The interview was fun too! Also, he passed about three feet from me as he was leaving...

(1) Best song added back: "Hi, Hi, Hi" (2) Best moment: "Yesterday" w/Kronos Quartet" (3) Best show: Outside Lands (4) Best new city: Austin (the two shows were almost completely comparable. but the "feel" of the OL crowd on "Hey Jude", and the aforementioned Yesterday just edged out the Austin show).

Wouldn't have any idea...

Eeee Cor Blimey:
my highlight was the sold out summer concert at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Us former premium members got first chance at front seats and at a normal price too! It was a hot hazy summer evening, Paul came on looking so sexy, and played a brilliant show that was 1/3 wings, 1/3 solo, 1/3 beatles.... oh hang on, that's when i wake up! Damn! Fingers crossed we get a UK show for real then i'll have multiple highlights!
Well *i* thought it was funny ops: Seems like i just can't make jokes round here (mooches away like in the dreaded paul shopping thread!) ops:
