The funniest moment was the apprehension of a soundcheck crasher during (ironically) "Let 'Em In."
Somebody tried to sneak into the soundcheck?
Yes. I don't know how he managed to do so, but a guy sneaked onto the lawn section in back. Security promptly escorted him out.
I didn't notice that, must have not happened near where I was standing.

I was in the yellow section and noticed the security guy focusing his attention behind us and then turned around and saw what was happening.

I think I got there about 15 minutes too late to see him arrive. I had the right location, but everything just took longer than I thought (and traffic was all backed up for my Uber), so I was just too late. Apparently there had been one couple there who got a wave from him. I got there right as the band's bus was going in. I think I just need to accept that I'll never meet him or even have a completely satisfying close-up encounter. (I know I wouldn't actually have met him on Friday.) I was wondering if I could hear the soundcheck a little bit from outside, but even if that would have been possible, there was another stage nearby so all you could hear was that. It was a great show. I know everyone complains about his voice, and I know it's not like it used to be (even his speaking voice is different), but it's not that bad, and I'm just happy to see him. It won't last forever. I loved In Spite of All the Danger and You Won't See Me. YWSE isn't even normally a big favorite of mine, but I really thought it was great in the show. Here's my video of those and the beginning of Love Me Do.
I felt like Hi Hi HI went over a little better than when I've seen it before. I didn't seem to be the only one jumping around for it. It's usually like nobody knows the song! He said that Birthday was for anybody with a birthday that day...or any other day in the year. When he was thanking the band at the end his tongue got tied and he said they were fantastisch. Then when he was saying it was about the end, everyone booed, and then he said that he had to go home. And coincidentally, that would be around the time we needed to go home. The girl and her dad who went up on stage were really cute. After he talked to the girl, then he brought the dad over, saying, And who is this gentleman. And the girl goes (kind of embarrassed because he was in a Sgt. Pepper costume), My dad. Everyone laughed, and that's when Paul said to the dad that dad's can be so embarrassing sometime. I didn't notice the grammar problems on the sign. Two more videos of mine: The end of Maybe I'm Amazed The singalong in Hey Jude Not great quality, but it's what I have. I have another one, 1985, that I'll put up later today, where you can see him playing the piano. -
Great videos SkLeigh. Always good to see anything people shot at the shows! Thanks!

My friend probably has the list, but I know that the first song was Linda Lou. He doesn't do that one very often so it was a nice surprise.

Thanks. I didn't recognize that one. It followed the jam.
