Just checked, there's one difference with the Marseille setlist: he played 'I'm looking through you' enstead of 'I've just seen a face'. The rest was the same.

Great soundcheck! The two that jump out at me are Only Mama Knows and Penny Lane. And for the life of me I can't understand how a song like Bluebird, so often soundchecked can't find it's way into the set proper from time to time.

Just a short report: I had two incredible days. The first night I went together with my two boys, 10 and 13 years old and a friend with her 14-years old daughter. It was great to see how much the young kids loved it. Their first rock concert and they were amazed. Second night, my first time soundcheck. Wow, that was really cool. And I have to say, I had my lucky day: there were only 15 of us with a Hot Sound Experience, instead of the 150 the day before. There were also about 40 music students, but we had front row, so full sight on everything. Same with the concert, front row, right in front of Rusty. Best spot I've ever had! And the concerts were great fun, as always. I think the second night was better, but hey, on front row everything is better! So don't count to much on that observation! Anyway, both nights rocked! And MrFlamingPie, it was really nice to meet you and your wife and your father. We had good fun, so let's stay in touch! (And now it's time for bed )

It got a good reaction from British and Dutch crowds, right from the first keyboard notes. People seemed excited about hearing it live.

What can I say, unforgettable once more. Voice was rough, even lowering notes on 'Golden Slumbers'. Chatter seemed a bit less programmed than yesterday.

Could someone type out the Set List please? thanks

Was his voice bad on both your shows? I was at the 2 London shows and I felt he sang well, although I was up high and not in front section.

I've often thought that too ! Such a great song!

He did sing really well at both London gigs John, plenty of people have commented on how well he sang! Having been at both i was pleasantly surprised how great he sounded overall, especially the 2nd night as he has a history of being more ragged vocally if he sings two nights in a row.
-
He stayed at Amstel hotel, te city's most exclusive hotel and left around 17.30 on Sunday for the sound check. There were around 25 people cheering and he waved but did not give autographs. After the concert he returned to the hotel by bus together with the band and signed approx. 5 items. On Monday he did a 1,5 hrs canal ride in Amsterdam together with John Hammel using the hotel's own little boat. Both Wix and Rusty were talking to fans when they left or arrived at the hotel. Really kind people. The 2nd night was possibly sold out, all seats seemed to be filled at least. Also I don't think his voice was too rough, maybe at some moments, but generally he was singing great IMO. The crowd in the front was more enthusiastic on the first day, there was little shouting on the second night. Sound was better on the 2nd night, but maybe it was just because I stood on a different spot.
-
Amazing his voice held up for two nights in a row considering how croaky/hoarse he sounded in Marseille after several days of rest...maybe he just needs to keep stretching it after all.
-
My very first time seeing him live and what should I say? Still feels surreal to me, I swear someone near me must have started cutting onions when Paul started 'Something (even though I heard this story about George a millions time before in youtube, so it wasn t a suprise at all)', those fireworks in 'Live and let die', the entire crowd singing NA NA NA HEY JUUUUUUUDE all the time, the crowd going wild for john before 'here today'... awsome, just awsome. And btw I think that he sounds so much better live than in some youtube videos. I am speechless, WHAT A BRILLIANT ENTERTAINER/MUSICIAN!!! And Amsterdam f'cking rocks!!!!

I guess we were pretty fortunate James if that was the case in Amsterdam, and also think probably one of the best setlists Ive seen.
