Glad to read that not everybody has problems with them. It is just that reading those stories is quite scary. Of course, one pretty much reads only the bad stories, since there is no need to write a long story about how my ticket arrived without a problem, which I guess is 99.9 % of cases. So one gets a wrong picture then.
As you say you only hear the small percentage of things that do go wrong! As for my E-Ticket question, Ticketmaster and their ilk wouldn't like the idea of that as they'd lose money i guess on people printing their own?

Yea, Ticketmaster, Eventim and such charge enormous money for the delivery. It costs usually 30-40 Euro only inside Europe, which is insane. CrodSurge on the other hand charges reasonable prices, so they would not lose on the E-Tickets. The only reason I can think of, why they issue paper tickets just a short time before the show, is to avoid scalping as much as possible, since I am sure it makes it waaay more difficult for scalpers than if thay have months to do their bussiness. It is a great policy from that point of view, but it might cause bad trouble to real fans who only want their tickets. Well, I don't know, maybe the real reason is different anyway. But there is no way to avoid scalping without causing other problems I guess. For instance U2 issued their standing tickets for some of their 2015 shows only as mobile tickets, so the one who bought it must have his mobile phone with him, plus an ID and the card the tickets were paid with. It sounds great, but I wonder how it will be possible to check IDs and cards of some 7000 or so standing fans. If it works, then that would be probably the best way to aviod scalpers, but I can imagine a huge mess in front of the arenas. I really wonder...I will learn it in September

I think retina scanning while you buy your ticket online and retina scan when you enter the Arena, the only way to go. The U2 option sounds good, but imagine trying to get 50.000 punters into a stadium that way, it would take forever!

Oh, the opposite, almost everything is through e-tickets over here. You pay an extra fee to even be able to get a hard copy one, an option which will vanish within not all too long altogether, I guess. The last days of being able to 'collect' ticket stubs must have been around 2008.

E-Tickets are available with some ticketing agencies here, AXS.COM for one, but all the time i've used Ticketmaster i've never been offered the option or Crowdsurge either!

Ticketmaster NL is different though. Everything is e-ticket (TicketFast), hard copy is just an extra option nowadays.

This is my first post here, so hallo everybody! I bought a standing ticket for Amsterdam yesterday and I am absolutely thrilled. It will be my 3rd PM concert, after Prague 2004 and Cologne 2011. I wanted to go to Vienna in 2013, but it was 4 days after our second baby was born, so leaving family for 2 days was not really possible Anyway, the important thing is that I will see PM again in less than 3 months. It is the first time I bought ticket via CrowdSurge and then I read those stories here about those people who never got their tickets from them, even though they were told they were sent, and had to travel long distances without tickets and were able to collect them at the venue. It sounds quite scary. Moreover - those were seating tickets, which I guess is not such a big problem to re-issue, but what about standing ticket? The prospect of having a flight ticket, hotel and no ticket for the show with the CS saying that it is too bad but they can not do anything about it is not very nice. I hope it will not come to this. I have bought many concert tickets before via eventim, ticketmaster, oeticket... and I always had my ticket within days from the purchase. The SC policy to issue the tickets so shortly before the show seems very strange, causing a lot of stress. But anyway, nothing wrong with my ticket so far, so I hope everything will be okay. Plus looking at the tour schedule, I bet another Amsterdam concert will be added. I haven't been in Amsterdam for 20 years, so I am really looking forward to the trip itself and to get a Maca concert (and possibly even two) on top of that...wow!
When I went to the concert in Glasgow I had to pick up my tickets at the venue. It was no problem at all.

Only seats available were 101 (restricted view) 103, 111 and 202. And then never 2 seats in one block. And even general admission seemed a hard task. This was a very, very, very small portion of the tickets.
I was able to get 4 seats in section 111. Reading all this I guess I was lucky?

Definitely! Luck, or just knew how to handle this ;). Glad you did.

Does anyone know the difference between GA standing: Ingang Zaal and Ingang Zaal-Staanplaats Google translate makes no sense in this situation. Thanks!

Where do you see this difference? Ticketmaster NL only sells one category standing ticket. Above means "entrance venue" and "entrance venue - standing ticket".

I have a question about CrowdSurge (I am sorry, that it is not exactly on topic in this thread). When I look at the summary of the order of the ticket I bought on Tuesday, in the Status field I see "Payment Recieved." Now, does the status change when the ticket is shipped? For instance at Oeticket and Eventim the status changes from "Ordered" to "Printed" to "Shipped," which is very usefull when they "forget" to send you an e-mail with the tracking number (which happens). You at least know have to take some action. When I ordered a Rolling Stones ticket via German Ticketmaster, it only said that it was paid, but the status never changed. Needless to say they "forgot" to send me the email, I didn't know the ticket was on its way, the courier didn't reach me at home, but didn't even bother to leave a note in my mailbox (how is that possible?)...It was quite an adventure to get the ticket. I got it in the end, but all the time I had to spend on it and those nerves...and they charged me 35 Euro for the delivery! So, with the CS, will I know the ticket is on the way even if I don't get the e-mail telling me it was shipped?

Just sign into your account and it will tell you what's the state of play with your tickets! Looking back at some older McCartney orders it has despatch date and time on them.

Thanks a lot, that is good to know! Now I wonder how the Amsterdam sales will go tomorrow and whether another date is added. I guess if the tickets sell fast (and they might, since there is no show in Germany), we might get the announcemet tomorrow. I am still waiting with buying the plane ticket, but I guess if the announcemet doesn't come tomorrow, I will by the flight back home on the 10 th of June, since the second show (if it is gonna happen) will be on the 8th or 9th. Show on the 10th is very unlikely, with the Paris show just the next day.

New poster from the UK here! I've got a Hot Sound package for Amsterdam and a seat for Liverpool I've only been to one PM show before, Rotterdam 2012, and I'm looking forward to visiting Holland again. I'm staying two nights at the Holiday Inn right near the Ziggo Dome and going to see Mark Knopfler there the night before PM! Hope to meet some of you there!

When purchasing the AMEX presale tix thru ticketmaster NL, the dropdown offered those two choices(same price) in addition to seated. I just chose "best available" and got Ingang Zaal-Staanplaats. I think seated was sold out, lucky I wasn't interested in those.

Got my GA tickets!

Success!! Skipped the presale and just bought my GA ticket for Ziggo Dome in the regular sale this morning. Went for the mail option so I can keep the ticket as a souvenir The confirmation from Ticketmaster.nl says: "The tickets will be sent to your address within the next 14 days." and now... back to sleep (it's 5am here)

EXTRA CONCERT: 8 June.
