I saw the Amex presale in the drop down box BEFORE the sale and posted at that time, then when you posted it wasn't there I went back and it was gone and posted again here. THEN right after that two Amex drop downs appeared.... one for any Amex cardholder (no code required if you pay with Amex) and one for Amex preferred seating (code required) I have a code and it DID let me search for tickets under both Amex presales so they were for sale at some point but sold out. I was looking for two.... did not try 1 ticket.... drop downs were there now but no seats avaialable

It is finding single Amex seats keep trying
-
I hope you all got in. It seemed to be there just after 10am for me and I did get 2 tickets. I had to keep refreshing for it to show up in the drop down. That was a strange way to do it!
-
I got a ticket yesterday. I was just trying to see what was happening today, for possible future reference. I still haven't seen it in the dropdown. But I'm glad someone was able to get tickets!

Having trouble getting pre sale Summerfest tickets, despite trying, refreshing, trying again since 10:00 yesterday. What to do?? Any advice appreciated! This happened to me a couple years ago when trying to get Chicago tix. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks fellow macca fans!

Hot Sound is coming up but that is all I have seen. Be sure to put 1ON1WITHPAUL code in.

Fwiw, when I was looking for Seattle tix a few weeks ago, I found this situation with ticketmaster: If I followed the link from pm.com, the only presale option was that one - the amex option didn't appear. If I got to the McCartney page via the ticketmaster search engine, the amex option was there, but the PM presale option was not. Maybe that explains why some of you are/were seeing an amex option, and others weren't?[/list]

Here is radio interview about booking Paul that I referenced before. http://www.wtmj.com/shows/wisconsins-afternoon-news/paul-mccartney-is-coming-to-summerfest <meant to post this in concert thread> ops:

Wow, you're right, Eric.

Genius! I had tried something like that, but I guess I didn't get out of Ticketmaster far enough to do my search.

No pre sale tix available. Talked with customer service rep from TM and was told that was the reason I couldn't get any tickets. I asked how that could've happened at 10:00 am on Monday, after having just gone on sale. They didn't know. This happened also when trying to get tix for Chicago, during pre sale. By the time I tried for general admission, I could get 1 ticket only, and pretty undesirable seat. Disappointed in maaca's ticket purchasing. We can't afford VIP...

Kathi- I sent you a PM.

Kathy I know exactly how you feel. I tried 436 times to get a ticket since 10 am Monday. I do not believe any lawn tickets or 3rd row 127.90 tickets ever existed for the Paul McCartney fansite pre sale. I think they just try to get rid of the expensive front rows seats and the silver, gold packages which cost an arm, a leg and a tooth to buy since they figure the die hard fans will buy these seats. They will probably have some lawn and third row seats when the general public get the chance to buy on Friday. Which brings me to the question why even have a presale if the other seats CANNOT BE BOUGHT UNTIL THE REGULAR PUBLIC SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERRRRRRRRY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe there definitely were lawn and other regular pre sale seats were available because somebody got them....they are listed on stub hub. 1) you have to remember you are fighting the bots and 2) high demand concert...many people sign on instantly and the tickets go on hold until they discard or buy 3) I'm new to this but this worked for me... Be signed on minutes before the sale and maximize your chances by having two or three ticketmaster accounts running at once on more than one computer OR more than one browser. If you only use one browser or account you might glitch and lose held tickets you WANT. Keep refreshing the different accounts to grab seats that become free when not bought. Have the pre sale code(s) already copied into your clipboard so you don't have to retype them. Google up more tips like that. 4) I do not know if this is still true because I can't see on my phone. I read the ticketmaster phone apps don't have the stupid robot captcha crap so you can refresh more often and not lose time with the captcha bit. At the time I read about it, the bots could not work on phone apps. You can install and test that today on any old concert to see if it is still true.

I did exactly what you said I should do. Had 6 laptops connected at once , 3 different browsers. I would say there is a 99 percent chance you are wrong on your suggestion. A more likely scenario is these ticketa are always released early to the brokers by the promoters. I know this for a fact as I used to be in the business many years ago. That is the reason you are seeing these tickets on stub hub. It keeps interest up in the concert because us unfortunates figure we can always go to stub hub and pay double. THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANT TO DO OR I WOULD NOT TRY THE PRESALES. If anyone out there was able to get a lawn ticket during any of the presales , please post. Maybe there is some hope other than false wishing. Try again tomorrow morning for summerfest presale i guess.

jcall209, I did NOT see Lawn Seats or Bleacher come up when I was playing around but I was refreshing constantly searching for the higher priced seats, so they would not have shown up. I know lots of people here saying they snagged a ticket or two but didn't ask what level. I did see the yellow & red seats come open for me to actually buy. I even bought one extra front row yellow section seat that seemed like a catch that I'm hoping my aunt or family member wants. Nobody tell my husband I paid for a seat I can't sit in. But the front row of yellow came up, and I got crazy. I bet some cheap seats WILL show up for the Summerfest presale but it might not be many at all. They probably release a small number, and you compete with EVERYBODY for them AND the bots. I know how the ticketing works (and its mystery and deception) but some lucky few do get the cheap seats. You are right that very often hardly ANY tickets are available to the public. Artists even scalp their own tickets. One Bieber concert 14,000 seats... on day of general sale you only had a shot at 1,000 of them http://www.buzzfeed.com/perpetua/6-reasons-why-its-so-hard-to-buy-concert-tickets#.yo7740yA4 I like the credit card and ID ticketing and will call ticketing to make it fair.

I guess I can say that I have been very fortunate to have purchased tickets, seen Paul quite a number of times, beginning at the Rosemont in Chicago, and fully enjoyed and celebrated his performances with other Beatle fans. He's always been my favorite and I consider myself a loyal fan. However, this new method of purchasing tickets, with many of his fans being disallowed from actually getting a ticket, especially after being invited during a presale, smacks of favoritism to the big bucks brokers. Hardly what I've been led to believe as Paul's loyalty to his fans. I am frustrated with this process, but worse, disillusioned with my favorite artist.

Has McCartney used the credit card is your ticket system at other venues? Springsteen came through recently and the prime seats required you to have a credit card and photo ID. There WAS no ticket involved. That seems to be a legit effort to undermine the scalpers.

Anybody been able to get the oneonone code to work for this morning summerfest presale. Without a doubt the absolute worst presale ever for any concert i have tried for tickets to.
