Did anyone happen to capture the Multishow broadcast? Only a few videos appeared on YouTube but nothing on ROIO sites
I just watched it on Youtube. His vocals sound so rough, it's almost unbearable at times. It really saddens me. As it has been in recent years, it's mostly the beginning of the show. Except, it's becoming more and more now... I think he needs to seriously re-evaluate his warm-up routines and stop flying into these stadiums at the last minute and cutting corners. I also have a feeling that a shorter show is in our future.
But then again he sounded a lot better in Brasilia than in SP.
I haven't seen any footage of that show. Would you agree though that almost consistently the first 5-10 songs (give or take) are noticeably rougher than the rest of the show?

A well paced 1.5 hour show would be killer! Maybe even shorter tours. Who knows??

2009-2012 were all very short tours ('10 was a tad longer) but this year and last year were pretty big leaps forward. Not quite on track with the demanding dates of his past eras, but I think he may have bit off more than he could chew with the "Out There" tour as far as quantity goes. Unfortunately, it did impact the quality on several occasions. Both of the shows I saw were amazing. But, I'll be the first to say that he had his vocal blips here and there early in the show. I'm very intrigued to see what 2015 brings. It would be so, so easy for him to just keep going at this rate, but there's a brick wall at the end of this road...

Yes, nature will provide that brick wall. For ALL of us. I suppose he should do as much as he want to while he still can. Nothing wrong with that. I often wonder if he is making up for lost live performances from the 80s. He did not tour for a solid decade between 1979 and 1989.

Yes, the lack of 80's touring raises several questions...and possible explanations. Does he assume that since he didn't promote those albums then...he doesn't need to now? Did ten years off the road help preserve his voice for the next twenty years...or set him back in the long run?

From my perspective, having seen him in '76 and then waiting 13 years before he came around again, I made a point of going every time he toured, not knowing when he would stop.

My thought is 1980-85 he didn't tour primarily because of John's shooting. Also, he could sell LPS then merely on his name alone. Touring was not necessary. Still, kind of a strange strategy for someone who loves live performance so much. 1986-89 saw his fortunes turn south. His LPs and movie were flops, and his career could no longer be sustained merely by his name anymore. So touring became essential. The thing is, I think by 1989 touring to promote a new LP became secondary to touring to promote the Beatles, as that became his primary income source. That is, moving Beatle products and getting royalties. Sure, it looked like FITD and OTG were the primary reasons for touring in 89 and 93. But where is their legacy? Gone. Forgotten.

Sometimes it takes quite a bit of singing for your vocal chords to warm up if you didn't do a proper warm up before going on stage.

That. And he is 72 years old. And he sings for a living. His voice will likely only get rougher and lower. But a good warm up could not hurt, and it could only help. I am not sure if Paul has a vocal warm up routine. But I do see him drinking hot tea before going on stage, which is good, esp if it has lemon and honey. He does sing a song or two with the group before hitting the stage, so that may be his warm up.

My singing teacher thought me some real voice warm ups which are nothing like Paul's singing while heading to the stage.

From what I remember, starting in the late 70s thru the 80s,Paul & Linda had visa issues because of the pot busts. They could not "work"in some countries, including U.S.They could visit but not "work". When the 89 tour was announced,it was mentioned that they could now tour because the visa problems were finally over.

My memory says that was the case in the early 1970s. They toured the USA in 1976 without any problems. I believe the visa issues had been resolved by then.

ok,they were still getting arrested in the 80s tho...I figured he wasn't touring because he no longer had a band,He was all about solo albums with different musicians, not a real band behind him. It was very exciting when he finally decided to get back on the road in 89 !

I haven't watched the Nov.25 show yet, but I've been told by friends that you can see me a few times at the front row with a yellow raincoat. It was raining hard that night.

No offense, but it seems you have shared this person's file, which was uploaded 4 days before yours, so let's thank her as well:
She has uploaded many other complete McCartney concerts, which are worth checking out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNAsq7WHUgJev_BVvFIZaJg/videos
