Prague, Czech Republic - O2 Arena - June 16th - ARCHIVE

omg so many tickets, even front standing. i saw people buying the tickets from other reselling sites for much more money yesterday. i'd be pissed if it was me...
-
Those are most likely reservations that were not collected. If you look at the seats, they are absolutely randomly scattered around the arena - very unlikely that those would be seats that were not available before. When I did a reservation on Thursday (the Live Nation pre-sale), it lasted until Friday midnight. So on Saturday 0:00 all those tickets were returned to sale. Surprisingly a lot. Right now it says, that reservations are not possible, only direct sales. So it was obvoiusly not sold out on the first day as it seemed, but I am sure it fill sell out really fast anyway. It is only pity, that a lot of people bought crappy seats, thinking that was their only chance to get in and now they wake up and see that there are plenty of great tickets to choose from.

Also a rough count of the standing area looks like there are something like 8,000 tickets being sold. That's seems quite a lot for a hockey size area. Could get busy.
I actually counted the "dots" in the FOS section and there are 50x55=2 750 of them. The GA area is a bit bigger (the FOS goes quite far back), so I guess yea, some 7 000 or a bit more people on the floor. I don't really know, it might be nomal. Also, the "dots" might not represent the real capacity and the number of tickets at all.

I wonder how so many tickets become available again.
I think I know the answer. Ticketportal.cz give you two choices: to buy ticket or to reserve it. I don't know how much time they give you the opportunity to reserve the ticket before you pay it, but let's say that it is till the end of the day. Or 24 hours. After that, if there is no payment, the reserved ticket is free again and automatically go to the ticketing system for selling. So, my guess is that a lot of people yesterday reserved their tickets, but for one or another reason they didn't pay it. And today we can see these tickets. Maybe for that reason from today Ticketportal.cz don't give anymore choice to reserve tickets for this concert. Now you can only buy it. Edit: I just saw that Happy24 is thinking the same way as me.

do you know if right now on ticketportal.cz there are fantickets? or e tickets, like on crowdsurge?

Ticketportal.cz just start to sell tickets, which are almost behind the scene. I don't know what people will see from this position, but for me, this means that there will not be second date for sure.

and those tickets are not even cheap..

No, they are not. 120 EUR for first sitting floor and 63 EUR for second sitting floor (which is far, far away). Plus, as I said before, those tickets are behind the stage.

It is not such a problem. Those sectors are normally sold. They are not behind the stage, but on the sides. True, the view might be restricted, but those people will see sort of fine. They don't sell the lowest rows. I have been to many concerts in this arena with those sectors being full of people. They will surely push the stage as far back as possible, which is also obvious from the amount of the Front of The Stage tickets being sold, so the angle from those sectors will be a bit better than what it looks like on the plan. Are those tickets expensive? Yes, they are, but when they sell those sectors, they always sell it as the blue/red category, nothing new in this case. Now, I have also seen a concert there, where they also sold tickets to the 105, 108, 405 and 410 sectors. There were screens behind the stage and those people had very restricted or actually no view. Those tickets were cheaper, but not much! I wouldn't be happy with that. Edit: I found this picture (for instance), where you can see, that those 104 and 109 sectors are not even fully on the sides of the stage, but partly in fron of it. Of course, this arrangement "pushes" all other scetors further away from the stage. I expect this concert to be something like this. http://greensun.rajce.idnes.cz/Koncert_Pearl_Jam_-_O2_Arena_2._6._2012/#P7020070.jpg

it was almost sold out again, but suddenly so many golden circle tickets appeared again. no seats appeared though. do you think they decided to sell more tickets for standing?

I sent this into the Berlin thread by mistake, but it belongs here, so here it is once more: I got the re-sent e-ticket from Songkick now, it looks exactly the same as the original one (incl. the bar codes), except that the first one was in the mail itself, now it is a PDF attached to the mail. Probably so that it would be easier to print. So far, so good. BUT... in the new one the Czech letters are not there, there are different ASCII signs instead of them, making the Czech text impossible to read - it is the address of the venue, but also the name of the sector - in my case The Front Of The Stage, which is there only in Czech, but the text makes no sence. It is obviously only a problem with the font in the PDF, but to understand that it is not a general standing ticket, but a front of the stage ticket, one really has to use his imagination. Nothing is simple with CrowdSurge / Songkick. It probably won't cause any problems, but it just as well might...

Be calm, I asked them and they said that theyre technical man ar working on it, it is computer mistake. Everything with tickets is allright
-
same, i don't think that's a problem though
-
Well...the price on the ticket should be an indication also. But it's all pretty amateuristic.

Could someone who was in O2 Arena before, tell me how to get to this Stani sector? If there is some other doors to get there? Or everybody will go by one door? And if you were on some concerts there in past - is Stani far from stage? I see, that always on plan of O2 this distance is the same. Thank you for your answers
-
You get inside the arena through any entrance from the north side (where the underground station is), just like anybody else. Once you are inside, you take the escalator from the lobby and go downstairs. There is the downstairs lobby, where there are separate entrances to the FOS and GA areas. The FOS is just straight ahead, the GA (Stani) is from behind the floor I think - I was never in that sector, but they will tell you. The GA is behind the FOS of course, which means it starts approximately in 1/3 of the floor.

@happy24 could u tell us smth. about the local security. Does the make trouble using a small camera? I know DSLR cams are prohibited.
-
There is generally no problems with small cameras at all. I had it inside numerous times and the only time it was a problem was at a Dylan concert, but Dylan is well known for that. Even in that case I had no problem with getting in, the problem was when I tried to actually take a picture. The security was extremely nasty, which was curious, since in the official rules the small cameras were actually allowed. The official rules for Paul's concert are, that you are not allowed to take DLSR cameras and video cameras inside. You also must not take any pictures and/or do any audio / video recordings, which are the standard rules for pretty much all concerts there. So there you go - you can choose :-). Anyway, as I said, I never had a problem with getting my small camera inside and with the Dylan exception, there was never any problem with taking pictures and videos. At the entrance, there are some gates where the security will check you and your small luggage if you have any (don't bring any bigger bags with you, they will not let those in!) and some gates with X-Rays like at the airport. You will see it shortly before you get to the check and there is always the possibility for switching the lines, so I normally go to the one without X-Rays, but I have also had my little basket with the camera X-rayed once and nobody said anything.

thank u for the info. By the way we decided two weeks ago to buy tickets for prague too. (However we were dissapointed about the setlist changes and canceled our original vip ticket plan before.) The 150km distance from here to prague and the fact that our son was disappointed that he couldn't come to duesseldorf/berlin did changed our opinion. So Prague will be the first McCartney concert I'll not in the front of stage area but with my son and wife in block 113. After the terrible loud sound in Duesseldorf I'm hoping that this isn't going to repeat in prague cause it's an arena too.
