FEBRUARY 22, 1963: THE BEATLES FORMED NORTHERN SONGS LIMITED (LTD) WITH DICK JAMES MUSIC LTD (DICK JAMES AND CHARLES SILVER). BRIAN EPSTEIN RETAINED 20% FROM COMPOSERS JOHN LENNON AND PAUL McCARTNEY. There's one word I want to call him, but the administrator of this message board will delete and Paul McCartney would disagree with me (i.e. "The Beatles Anthology" print).
In October 2018, Paul McCartney and MPL will own the 1962 rights of the Lennon/McCartney songs. In 2019, the 1963 rights; 2020, the 1964 rights; etc., etc., etc. Unless any changes in the agreement, Sony/ATV U.K. will own the rights for the rest of the world. McCartney's MPL Music owns the copyrights to "Love Me Do," "P.S. I Love You," and "Fancy My Chances" with Lenono Music.
Nancy R. should be responding anytime.
