Well?

Why was the other "experimental" site (PMC) was cancelled? The new & improved place that we had to pay for. I don't remember why or when they pulled the plug on that but I do remember we were the actual guina pigs there too.
<---That's supposed to be crying.

I like how there's no way to know if there are any new posts. Clicking on the topic and then scrolling down to the bottom of the page and then clicking the last page and then scrolling down to the bottom of the page only to find that there are no new posts is good exercise. My mouse needs the workout. If the time stamps were accurate, that might help. But when they say the last post was 30 minutes ago but was actually 4 days ago, that might go in the inaccurate category.
When I get to the topic I'm looking for, I hit the "sort" button again..for newest. The 1st original post will come up (WHY?) but then the newest posts will be there. This is all just crazy.
That doesn't always work for me. I was just looking at Not Such a Bad Boy, and even after I hit "newest first," it was displaying posts from 3-4 days ago above a post created within the past 24 hours. This thing is so buggy they should call Orkin.
You have to select both the 1, 2, etc days feature and Newest to narrow it down. I’d call Terminix!
I did that, and it's a plausible workaround, but threads STILL don't display in order with those with the newest posts first. The thing doesn't work. They didn't get the bugs out before it went live. Like I said before, I have some experience helping oversee the creation of websites and I know this stuff is complex and glitches inevitably happen. But you test and fix them before tormenting the public. This is not rocket science.
Strange. It works fine for me.

Hi guys! Getting the hang of the new forum? I'm starting to get the hang of the new forum but I still prefer the old forum. What do you guys think?

I hate it. I think we all will be getting carpel tunnel much earlier by using this board. I'm tired of all the searching.
You think anyone will ever respond to any of our questions?
Have you noticed that little red line when you quote someone? I think it has to be with more than 1 quote. Probably has to do with separating the quotes but I'm sick of trying to figure things out.

No. I don't have time to study it. Geeze Louise. Not fun at all. It says I have 5 replies, but who knows where? I've searched but can't find any replies. Sigh times a million. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

As Paul sang in one of the many legendary Beatles songs: "Whisper Words Of Wisdom, Let It Be!"

Just go to the forums that you post in. Always select 1 day or 2 day and Newest. Then go to the threads you usually post in that have the red dot by them, then again select 1 day or 2 day and Newest. Scroll down to find your last post and work your way up to read them chronologically.

The problem - one of more than a few problems - is that the time stamp seems to be hooked up to some kind of Salvador Dali clock. This site has no idea what time anything was posted, so sorting posts by time/day is never going to work.

You are not necessarily being ignored. It could be that your posts are only visible to some people some of the time. Not every post is showing up all the time.

LOL Hailey you alway make me laugh!
Trying to keep my sense of humour too. The British date set up (month and date reversed to the US system) is definitely interesting...

Yes, why can't the dates be changed. You can't even plug in your time zone like we used to.

Is anyone getting email notifications? I haven't received even one.

nope...most things we were used to are discontinued. The "dashboard" & "while you were away" they have ON this site are not working apparently nor do I see HOW they could work as we were used to.
edit to say that I did just check the while you were away & this thread was notated. big deal.
it usually isn't working.
and not one word from management. *rolls eyes*

Nope. You just have to check your PMs when you’re here to see if you received one. (I don’t want notifications if someone posts in a thread I posted in, so I turned that off)

I really hope the Administrators are reading this thread, they need to know that this new forum is not cutting it!

The little red line lets you space paragraphs, for some reason.
