Sound Check

email WHO though? that is the problem!! yes a new one would be best, I don't think I can fix this mess -- the straps on the cooler are also coming loose, and I have not used it at all, just brought it home! I'd rather not have to go to a merch stand at these shows, unless they guarantee it's before the crowd gets in. We went up after soundcheck to get a program, what a jam packed nightmare....
The merch stands don't sell those bags so they would not be able to help you. Email SLOTix customer service; they run the soundcheck and distribute the cooler bags. I don't know if they can give you a merch credit but they may be able to ship you a better bag. I used my cooler bag the other day with some plastic ice packs and several big bottles of water, and it held up just fine.

I have not found Slotix to be helpful by email after an event, but I shall try again with pictures.

So anyone going to the soundcheck this year ?
I was looking at the Eventtravel page for the FP tour https://www.eventtravel.com/paul-mccartney-tickets-2018 and noticed that the Hot Sound Package had "Prices From £508- €570- $669 inc VAT"
I can't see anything better than £654 right now though so I'm not sure where that was ? In Paris in 2016 I checked and I'd paid €539 for a GA package.
Still have my tote bag unpacked... but for some reason cannot locate the "limited edition lithograph" !

You should have gotten the lithograph (in a cardboard tube) if you did soundcheck last year. My friend who had Gold V.I.P. (Not Hot Sound) got same merchandise minus the lithograph.

Thanks, yes I did and was able to verify that by looking at the feedback I posted at the time ! Now I just need to track it down, hehe...can't be too far from the tote bag

Well it looks like I'm giving the soundcheck a miss this year...Eventtravel have just announced the details for Paris and it looks bad : https://www.eventtravel.com/paul-mccartney-hotsound-paris
- 635€ vs 539€ in 2016, who knew inflation was that bad !
- One (1) premium PL1 reserved seated ticket : wonder what that is exactly ? Doesn't sound like a seat in the first rows or in the center because even the "Front Row Package" priced at 765€ (!!!) only offers a side section ( One (1) Front Row floor ticket, side sections).Oh well that's going to force me to be reasonable, just as well I suppose

We should be so lucky to pay those prices in the States. A soundcheck ticket is $1600 (front row on sides is $2100) These are 2017 prices. They may have gone up.
For those of you that don’t want to do the math, $1600 = €1377 = £1242, $2100 = €1808 = £1630
Tomorrow I’m trying for a Gold VIP which is a good seat and some merchandise. Last year it cost $850 = €732 = £660.

Has anyone figgered out how much the VIP tickets are this tour?!!

If you mean Gold VIP, they will be at least $850 if the price is the same as last year.
Hot Sound Package was $1600 (soundcheck, dinner, merchandise, seat in rows 3-6 or 7)
Front Row (sides only) was $2100 (same perks as HSP)
Basically, if you have to ask, you can’t afford it! Lol!

That was harsh, Nancy, check yourself... I have been to soundcheck before, but looking at the TM site during pre-sale, I could not find the prices anywhere. As you probably realize, they can change from year to year.
Doesn't matter anyway, even during pre-sale they were GONE, and every other ticket on there is a "verified resale" price. It's a shame, I grew up in Lexington and my sister who still lives there really wanted to go.

I had no luck getting VIP tickets for Lexington as well. First time I've ever had that problem. TM is a joke, and the verified resale tickets are ridiculous. Overpriced and you don't get the perks of sound check or any of that. Why is ticket master selling scalped tickets?

Lighten up, it was a joke! And btw, the prices for Gold VIP went DOWN from $850 in 2017 to $700 in 2019! I was amazed!
When you speak of the presale, do you mean the very first one that was AMEX and supposed to be Paul’s as well with the secret code (that they screwed up and didn’t get online for 5 hours)? I saw that too - no prices. You just had to pick what you wanted. Were you looking for regular tickets or VIP? When I didn’t see anything about Paul’s presale, I just went for the AMEX Gold VIP. With Greenville, you had to have an AMEX, but Lexington had a non-AMEX Gold VIP choice. Strange.

Well in case anyone was holding their breath while I was looking for my Hotsound 2016 lithograph...you can start breathing again as I found it completely by accident while sorting some stuff the other day ! I know why I couldn't find it a couple of years ago, it's because it's TINY ! Not even sure it's an A4 format and I was looking for something like an A2 poster Oh well glad to have it back and tucked above the bag I got in 2016 !

Where I live, we call it Ticket Bast@#d. I live near NYC where people have unlimited $$ so about 3-5 minutes in, all the good tickets start showing up in the ticket resale section of TM!! It's getting so bad, I couldn't get tickets to concerts I wanted to see last year. The first year I missed a Paul show.

Hi, i am Simone, from Italy. First of all sorry for my English, i dont speak it so well and google translator is helping me.
I have some questions about the HOT SOUND STANDING experience. I am thinking to buy it for Naples or Barcelona, but not just for the soundcheck itself, but also because i would like to be in the front row at the main concert: do you think i would have a good chance? Or maybe with the cheaper hot ticket standing early entry i might have the same chances?
I hope someone who tried these packages may help.
Simone.

I went to the Paris one in 2016, also Hotsound Standing and the way it worked is that we went out of the room after the soundcheck and then started queuing up just outside the entrance to the venue (not outside). Then they let the Early Entry Standing in and they queued up behind us. At one point they let us in (must have been around 6pm for a concert due to start at 9pm) and it was a mad rush to the stage (they told us to go slowly but that didn't stop anyone, hehe) and I managed to get a spot on the rail dead center, barely !
I doubt any of the Early Entry Standing managed to get a spot on the rail but they would have been row 2 or 3.
At Paris 2018 the standing area was BEHIND the seated area (where I had a seat) so the people who had an Early Entry Standing I talked to (they had a little goodies bag) were not super happy as they were pretty far away and had paid more than I did for my seat I could walk to at the last minute. There were no Hotsound Standing fortunately, only first row and rows 3-6, like this year.
Hope that helps !

Wow! I would HATE that! We don't have any general admission or standing in the U.S. (for Paul) thankfully!

Yes, this helps me so much. Grazie! I also have been at Paris concert 2016 and 2018

I have a question, if you can help me. It is the first time that I go to a Macca concert. The hotsound standing package of the Barcelona concert in 2020 was bought by my brother-in-law on the Eventtravel website, since he lives in Spain. I live in Venezuela and here there is an exchange control that prevented me from buying from here. Now, investigating I see that some people expose that the day of the concert must be presented in addition to the ticket, also the credit card with which it was paid. My brother-in-law lives in Madrid and I don't want to have to ask him to go to Barcelona with me to be able to enter the concert. He noted that when he made the purchase he placed my data (name, email, etc.) in the purchase. My question is if I will have any problem to enter the concert only with the ticket that will be sent to me by mail? If you can help me in this regard I would appreciate it. Thanks friends.

Whose name is on the ticket, is it your name? If you bring a photo identification, you should be alright, I don’t remember them asking to see the credit card. But I would contact Event Travel and ask them the question. You can email them with the ticket confirmation number and ask, they have always been helpful when I have had questions.
