Mull of Kintyre would be awesome, and I was hoping he might do Birthday (is that part of his set-list?) because the concert falls on Ringo's b-day, he might dedicate it to him?

I like the way you are thinking.

Even more awesome would be if Paul sang "Birthday" and Ringo showed up! Just dreaming . . . . ! I'll settle for a pipe band and "Mull of Kintyre."

Everyone looking forward to this? I know I am. I mean scotiabank place isn't exactly NEAR anything, but maybe we can set up something nearby for some pops and snacks beforehand. And of course lots of beatles tunes. Hell, if they let us tailgate in the parking lot I'd be in but the chances of that happening are nil.

I am really excited....23 days to go! My elderly mom wants to get into Ottawa on Saturday to do some sight seeing. She has mobility issues (walks with a cane, can't walk far) so does anyone who is familiar with the area know of anywhere I could take her? If anything gets arranged for drinks/snacks pre-concert let me know.

I can't go to the show anymore. I have 2 floor tickets section C Row 2 for sale. I paid a lot for them on ebay, if anyone is interested please send me a message.
-
I just got my pre-sale fan club tickets from Crowdsurge. I did use the Xpresspost option. So they are starting to mail out the tickets.
-
I just posted this on the members' ticket exchange forum and will post it here as well. I have two extra tickets for the July 7 Ottawa show. These are top price ($275) floor seats: Section C, Row 34. I purchased them in the Capital Tickets presale but later was able to get seats in one of the side sections closer to the front, so won't be needing these. I will sell them for less than face value: $200 each plus postage. The tickets are hard copy, in hand and ready to mail. Please PM me if interested. I'd like someone to enjoy the show from these seats! Thanks!

It looks like we'll be going to the Canadian Tire Center on July 7th. ScotiaBank Place will be renamed Canadian Tire Center on July 1st

You and your mother might enjoy one of the sight seeing bus tours. That way she can see everything without getting tired from walking. I did that with my mom a few years ago and she really enjoyed it. The tour takes you all over the city, past the PM's residence, Governor General's residence, past where the Mounties keep their horses, etc. I considered it good value and is a perfect way to see the main parts of a city. In other words, perfect for the tourist. The Grey Line bus company offers this service with double decker buses (which is nice on a sunny day). The departure is close to Parliament Hill but I am sure if you look on line you will find the information you are looking for. If you have never been, the National Gallery of Canada is certainly worth a visit. Above all, have fun at the concert!

Thanks, ehmpatty. That sounds right up her alley. I'm also looking at one of the boat tours. I can't believe it's coming up so quickly! I hope the weather cooperates.

You are very welcome. Things are very quiet on the Ottawa thread, considering what we will all be doing a mere 10 days from now...I enjoy the anticipation of a Paul concert more than the concert itself. No - I guess that's not right. I enjoy the concert most of all. But the anticipation sure beats the feeling of wanting more after the concert is over.
-
You guys are pretty quiet up there in Canada, considering it's only five days away. I know it can't be that you are planning Fourth of July celebrations or something like that! From my one time in Ottawa eight years ago I know that you have a beautiful city to call home. Just wanted to wish you all a great concert, wish I was with you as I was in Toronto in 2010, get ready for Mull of Kintyre!

We're still recovering from Canada Day celebrations Only 4 days to go.

I'm starting to get busy....printing hotel reservations and directions, packing, deciding what to do to fill the time on Saturday and Sunday prior to the show, where to eat, etc. I've been listening to WOA non-stop. I'm a bit manic right now! Is it the weekend yet?
-
have fun you guys!!!!~
-
luckiest1paul, your house sounds just like mine right now. Only Wings, Beatles and Paul music permitted for the rest of the week. Also printing my hotel reservations... I love looking forward to a Paul concert. Is there anything else like it?

Sounds good! Sounds like the countdown is well underway now. Here's to a great concert and great weather as well!

I completely agree "Birthday" would be great to hear on Ringo Starr's birthday! It would also be great to hear "Mull of Kintyre" again!

Stoked! Third row dead center for Paul...does it get any better? Another stroke off the bucket list...who would have thought in the summer of 2013 I would be seeing what's left of the Stones & Beatles. Truly amazing... I have to hear one song Paul. Mull of Kyntyre!!! Really looking forward to the experience and welcome to Ottawa Sir Paul!
