Oh! What a night!!! Magical! The reviews posted here are very clear about how marvelous was that show. I wont repeat everything but I just want to add it was the better of the 5 concerts I already saw. Better in many way: setlist, performance, ambiance... I was so excited after the show that I didn't sleep and I have no voice today. What a man! It will take me many days to recover but I am not in a hurry, I love to be in a "macca buzz".

Triplets Love Paul:

Aww I never knew that happened, that's so sweet! I found a clip of it on YouTube, it happens at around the 7.12 mark >
Paul's really so nice to fans, I love how he does things like thisLOVE when grandma says "This is the dream of my life." BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks so much for posting!
Aww I know me too, I'm so so happy she got the chance for her dream to finally come through! And aw no problem, you're welcome!!! Glad you liked it!

Sounds like your show was awesome! I'll be seeing Paul in DC on Friday night and am already having a hard time focusing on anything but that! Thanks for all the info provided. I, too, would LOVE to hear Mull of Kintyre live at a U.S. venue but so far that hasn't been in the cards. I agree, had it been played back in the day, it would have been a huge hit. It's one of favorite songs ever.

So happy for the 81 year old who got the Paul hug. Very, very happy she got the dream of her life and that Paul defended her.

It is because of Canada's Scottish heritage outside of Quebec. Michelle normally is reserved for Quebec so it was unusual for both to be played.
I think because even tho Ottawa is in Ontario, it borders on Quebec so there are many French-speakers in the area. I was not expecting it so when we heard it soundchecked (done after we were booted out of the "regular" soundcheck") it was quite a surprise! Also why he was so late in starting the show. They couldnt open the doors to the public until he was done soundchecking and he finished well after 7 pm.

Great job, Jen...thanks for sharing!

Ok that was the best show I've seen from Paul. Trully suffering from Macca withdrawls now A great setlist. Nice mix of Wings, Beatles and Solo. The band sounded great and so did Macca. The addition of both Mull of Kintyre and Michelle was fantastic. Lucky Canadians. I was fortunate enough to hear the poor man's soundcheck from the lobby of the arena. Mull of Kintyre was rehearsed endlessly for at least 30 minutes. It didn't sound quite to me, but it was hard to tell from the lobby. But it sounded great in concert. I had very good seats 7th row centre stage.

so how much of that is true?
The first 3 songs were soundchecked: Mull Of Kintyre / Michelle / Midnight Special. Source:
Also, Listen to what the man said, Lady Madonna. I saw the SUV pull in around 6pm. Actually, I had to wait at a stoplight for the motorcade to pull in.

I don't have the soundcheck setlist written down, but Jorie should have it up on MaccaReport eventually. Listen to What the Man Said was not soundchecked. Here's what my feeble brain can remember and not in exact order: Honey Don't Blue Suede Shoes Flaming Pie Penny Lane Magical Mystery Tour C Moon Let Em In Midnight Special San Francisco Bay Blues Ram On Bluebird Lady Madonna Definitely am missing a few. A girl who painted a picture of Paul was brought up at the end. They hustled us out of there so couldn't really watch but I was told she gave it to him. After we were booted out of there and into the reception, they started soundchecking Mull and yes, played it for about 30 minutes. We could hear it but not see it. Michelle was last and only done once, I think.

Great job, Jen...thanks for sharing!
Not a problem--thanks for liking them, folks. I'll hopefully have a few more from tonight's Fenway show, which is quite possibly going to be the wettest concert I've ever been to (30% chance of thundershowers ALL NIGHT!).
