Morning All! Glad to see you all gathered to watch and review the show as it unfolds. Just a reminder that after the event, the usual set list debatees will be encouraged to gather in this topic here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=80691 where the running order and Paul's selections may be considered in more depth. This topic will become the gathering place for reports of the more personal aspect of the show - the first hand impressions of those that attended, souvenir images and videos, news clippings etc Martin

Shouldn't have bothered getting excited about an update. I don't know if tiredness is making me grumpier but I'm seriously seriously disappointed! I'm not usually one to shout too loud about the set lists but I am now!
-
Oh, the irony that he kept Sing The Changes.
-
Right, i think that's me out for tonight. Its 3am and the only surprises have been Junior's Farm, I Will and The Night Before. Meh.

And Junior's Farm wasn't that much of a surprise since it JUST creeped in at the tail end of that oh-so-different Up And Coming Tour. Couldn't really expect him to chuck it off the setlist so quickly.

Our source of updates is gone so I think I'll hit the sack too, it's been fun I guess! Hoping to wake up and find out he played Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End and Silly Love Songs but I doubt it!

I done for the night also. Unfortunately a bunch of us were right and some minor changes but nothing dramatic. Opening with "Hello Goodbye" is also old and my goodness couldn't he be a bit more original. His solo career is basically ignored which is a bummer. Let's face it, it is too late for him to change now.

If this was strictly an arena tour, I think he might be more willing to shake things up.... (ie, the 2005 tour) ... but with the venues being mostly stadiums and ballparks, it's got to be more difficult to experiment.

I've been hoping for some more gems to appear in the set.. like Silly Love Songs and the Abbey Road medley.. but I'm still going to have a blast at his show. But face it, we're all die-hard fans and have been on this forum since the Driving USA tour, so many of us have seen him double-digit times. Most people attending have not. Needless to say, with the show wrapping up, I AM still hoping for a report of a few surprises in the encores. Not counting on it, but still hoping! I won't miss my show on the tour though if he doesn't shake it up. It's still Paul McFreakinCartney!

Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, Paperback Writer... all by the legendary genius who wrote those songs himself.. I'll certainly be getting my money's worth on August 4th, being the 9th Macca concert I will have attended. I think of it this way... We're rich in the sense of being blessed to adore such amazing music and to have seen and experienced his live shows so many times. Asking for more and being highly disappointed to not get it is like being a billionaire and being bummed to not get that $50,000 yearly bonus. I'll be disappointed if my favs aren't added, but not enough to miss him this year. 30 years from now, I'll be wishing I could pay to see him sing the ABC's. However, I AM still hoping for Abbey Road medley though!!!! Common, Paul!

This is a major disappointment. The identical second half of the set is a major disappointment. So frustrating, and so many missed chances.
