The show was awesome!! The best part for me was when Paul acknowledged my "Hey Paul I'm Jude" sign when he was talking about the signs!!! He looked right at me and said Hey Jude!!! I can't even describe to you guys how amazing that feeling was!! It felt like it lasted forever!!!!
Oh, so you're Jude! That was awesome! Congrats.
Thank you guys so much!!! It was amazing!!! Also, the people around me were so great!! The guy right next to me took a picture of me on the screen when they showed my sign up on the screen!! People were so nice and they kept telling my mom and I to hold up our signs instead of putting them down!!

eek! This makes me so so excited to see his show in Montreal. I am going because I'm a Beatles fan. I'm in my 20s. For post Beatles I like Live and let die and dance tonight. I'm ashamed to say I'm not familiar with too many of his other songs. I bought that broad street record and it wasn't my cup of tea. Any recommendations of songs I should definitely listen to before the concert in Montreal? Speaking of the Montreal show. I have extra tickets for it that are amazingly close to the stage ( floor, and right next to the stage) that I'm selling at face value if any of you hard core mccartney fans want to come up and vacation in the beatiful city of montreal (a short drive and a pleasant amtrak train ride!) and relive tonight's experience! I've got the tickets listed in the thread about extra tickets, you can also pm me. I have them on stubhub, can show you eBay feedback etc.. so you know I'm legitimate. I am so grateful that I'll get to see him once in my lifetime.

So I hear Nancy, James, Alec Baldwin and Chevy Chase were spotted tonight. Nice..
you new yorkers are so lucky. you always get extra celebrities at all your shows. there's not going to be extra celebs at the montreal show, but i suppose i shouldn't get greedy, i am seeing paul afterall!

This was the ninth time I've seen Paul live, and the third time in the past three years, including Citi and Radio City. Sure, I would have liked a few more surprises, but at least there were 6-7 cuts that weren't in the last shows, so that's fine. And the performance overall was excellent, the pacing a little better than Citi. The Night Before and I Will with the full band were nice adds. Maybe I'm Amazed proved to be a real challenge and I wonder if it will stay in the set. But he pretty much nailed everything else. I went with two newbies, and of course they were blown away by the set -- and couldn't name a song they wanted to hear that they didn't (save an eventual Silly Love Songs) and, you know, when people pay $200 a piece, that's probably the right outcome.

Just got back from Paul's On The Run opener in Yankee Stadium. I thought the new set list was great! Besides adding the brand new "The Night Before", and "Juniors Farm" which premiered earlier this year in Vegas, there were several additions from previous tours going all the way back to 1989, including Golden Slumbers medley, I Will (2005), Hello Goodbye (2002) and Maybe I'm Amazed (2005) which showed new video associated with the McCartney album re-issue. In addition to the VIP's noted earlier, Denny Laine was also there tonight. Those going to Detroit, Montreal, Chicago and Cincinatti are in for a real treat!

i asked in my last post but it might have gotten lost in all the text - what non-beatles songs should i familiarize myself with (since you guys heard the set list today) for the montreal show - it will likely be the same right?

My mom named me Julian after Hey Jude. She used to sing to me Hey Jude when I was a baby! I am 20 years old. I just turned 20 last month.

Cool, good story, I bet you were grinning? My favorite song of all time and I will never get tired of hearing it and let it be. I remember the first time I went to see paul walking in the parking lot before the show I thought" I can not believe that I am going to be in the same building, singing Hey Jude with Paul McCartney. and I have to say I got tears in my eyes thinking of that and my brother who had passed away as it was his favorite song as well. Luckily he had seen Paul once but I was wishing he could have been there with me. Never forget it he is something special

We have been had by a marketing ploy by the promoters who probably said hey we know there are many repeat concert goers and we need to change the name so it keeps them interested. I mean why did they bother to change the name of the tour? I would have liked to see more changes. I will still enjoy the three shows I am going to see but I will likely be seeing the last three concerts of his ever. Granted I have seen him 10 times but this is still upsetting. I think some of it is just a product of touring the way he does now with a short break in between in other words I think they the band and him are being lazy to point. I love the man and always will but give me a break, I understand that he has to do certain songs but not some that he has worn out over the past couple tours. since the first time I saw him in 02' I think there is 4 songs on this set list I have not ever seen.
I want to follow up with some of my disappointment. I am taking my sister-in-law who saw him once with us in 05' For her there will be 16 different songs, for me 3 (Iwas wrong above). I have seen him 10 times she once. who pays Paul more money? I mean she will be happy and I will be ehh! the real point to me is out of those 16 songs for her she will not know 5 of them. He can find a more happy medium ground for fans who follow him consistently.

Thanks so much! It was funny because the security guard asked me how old I was. I told him 20 and he was like "what do you know about Paul McCartney?" I was like "if you only knew" lol he was nice and I am so happy people were so cool! No problems with anybody!

Paul looked and sounded great! I thought it was a bit more of a rocking show, but maybe that was just because of the song order? No one was brought on stage for any tattoo signing or whatever. Paul's banter was pretty much the same stories he's been telling. Someone close to him should tell him to get some new stuff! I wasn't thrilled with the people around me: lots of arguing about blocking the view, a couple almost got thrown out; maybe all that beer that was constantly being hawked, the venders continued walking through the stands yelling "Beer here!" all through the show! Traffic was a nightmare, there didn't seem to be any planning or traffic directing going on. Paul wore that blue jacket he's worn before, white shirt, suspenders, Beatle boots. Paul arrived earlier than he usually does for the soundcheck, about 1 or 1:30 rather than 4 or 4:30. Don't know what time the check actually started, but could hear it from about 4:00 till about 5:30 or so. I know lots of us want big changes, but we have to remember not everyone has seen the show before, and you can tell by the reactions of the crowd to some songs that they are totally surprised to be hearing, while others are thinking, "Oh, no, not again!" Can't be easy putting a show like this together, and will never please everyone.
