Thanks, Fan4-45years, that is such a sweet photo!
This is a photo of the band Paul's father had in the 1920s... His father is circled in the photo. In some ways it resembles the Sgt. Pepper's album!

Yes it does, sort of (smile).

She’s looking at Paul like she wants to get him alone! (Wouldn’t we all have?)
Well, maybe you’d just want to shine his shoes, huh Leslie?

I would have LOVED to have shined his shoes, or sewn a button on his shirt for him
When it comes to trouser repair though, I'd have left that for a professional tailor
Seriously though, I think the idea of keeping busy with a task helps to keep the mind off any impure thoughts

Yes, one look at Paul, and I'd be searching for the nearest brush and mop to give the floor a good scrubbing
If I saw him smiling at me from a distance, I'd scrub even harder and try to think of something quick....
"Listen my children and you shall hear... of the midnight ride of Paul Revere... on the 18th of April in '75... hardly a man is now alive... who remembers that fateful day and year... He said to his friend, “If the British march... By land or sea from the town to-night... Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry-arch... of the North-Church-tower, as a signal-light....one if by land, and two if by sea, and I on the opposite shore will be... ready to sound the alarm..."
People would gather around and John would say, Who's that?
And Paul would reply, That's Leslie....... she's very--- clean.

I can only guess! lol If it was 1964 and saw him and was able to stop scrubbing the floor, lol, I probably would have asked him for his autograph at some point... if I was able to find my voice to ask for it. I'm sure I would have had a pin-up poster or something, lol.

Paul with school friends, circa 1951. I think this was before his parents moved the family to the house on Forthlin Road.

Yes, they would have lived at 12 Ardwick Rd. in 1951 (moved there in Sept. 1950 from 72 Western Ave.)

My room growing up was originally an attic and the walls went up from the floor, then angled to meet the ceiling. Every inch (including the ceiling) from 1964 to 1974 was covered with posters and pics of The Beatles!

Thanks for the info, Nancy! I think Paul was about 12 when they moved to the house on Forthlin Road, which is a historic site.
Photo of Paul's brother Mike and their father, Jim, taken at 20 Forthlin Road. Note the Beatles album on the shelf (or is it a piano?) behind them. Must be fan mail for Paul on the floor.

That's great! You must have bought every single magazine they were featured in. I had cousins older than me who were really into the Beatles, and had posters and pics of them on their walls... Was just figuring it out, and when the Sgt Pepper's album came out, I was in Kindergarten. I remember at school me and my little friends at the time all had crushes on Robin from the TV show Batman for some reason, lol... we'd take turns pretending we were grocery shopping or vacuuming the floor with one of those kiddie Fisher Price vacuums, so we'd have dinner ready and the floor vacuumed before Robin got home One little girl even put Robin masks on herself and all of her dolls I think your pics and posters sound more interesting

The McCartneys moved into 20 Forthlin Rd. on April 30, 1956, so Paul was just shy of 14. His mum died that year on Oct. 31st.
Yeah, I think that’s a piano and definitely fan mail for “our kid” as Mike would say!

Relatively new sign from 2016 (it was different in 2011 - only mentioned Paul)

Nancy, thanks for the info and photos of the signs! Must have been interesting to visit there!
Found this photo which identifies woman in previously posted photo taken of Paul and his father on set of "A Hard Day's Night." Her name is Magda Konopka, and she was an actress. She isn't listed as being in the cast of AHDN on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), but had a small part in "Becket" which was filming at the same time. Date for the photo is given as March 12, 1964.
The terrier reminds me of another little dog Paul had a few years later named Eddie.
