18,000 isnt all that small.
It is in a city of 8 million people! I know what you're saying - not everyone in NYC will care about attending - but it's obviously going to sell out pretty quickly. And $350 is it now?! I can't complain as I've spent that much on others lately but still.... Yowza.

I think part of this decision may also be because of the fact that Paul has done several shows in NY over the last three years, where as other cities (like Orland) haven't had a show for a while. Because the price of his tickets are so high, demand is not going to be as much at this point in NY outside of the mroe hard core fans. I've already seen Paul three times, but I'm changing vacation plans just to go to this concert. I'm hoping to make a sign and get lucky enough to have Paul sign my Let It Be tattoo. I know it has happened before to others, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

There are 4 or 5 price levels for other concerts there, so I would expect this will be the same.
This isn't any ol concert. There may be a fewdifferent prices for nosebleeds like the Stones.
Yeah, I was just responding to the notion that there would be only two price levels.

Not so sure about that, Janine....this *is* NYC, there are a lot of people with disposable income who have no problem with dropping that kind of money even casually: the Stones proved that. There wasn't an empty seat in the Barclays Center and while everyone clearly didn't pay the $800+ being asked for in most cases, only 150 or so out of 18000 got in the door for less than $250 a ticket. Those weren't Stones "die hards" either; just a lot of folks with extra cash who like the Stones. I'd venture to guess there are even more folks with extra cash who like the Beatles and/or McCartney casually... Shows are just expensive period but it's not stopping anyone here from going that I can tell - I know it hasn't stopped me yet even though it should've! To be fair I suppose, these shows *should* cost more as it's a much more "intimate" setting - while I had a great time at both Yankee Stadium and CitiField, I'd always prefer seeing him in an arena.

I totally agree that there are a lot of causal fans who would pay to see Paul, I'm just saying that a lot of them probably saw Yankee stadium two years ago and aren't as eager to pay that price a second time so soon. When the Rolling Stones played, it was their first show in a long time and their anniversary tour, which was part of the hype. And there are a lot of people with disposable income, but there are also a lot struggeling, so I guess it balances out. The price has never stopped me either. If I want to see something I'm going to see it regardless. This is expecially true with Paul, because we don't know how long he will keep touring for

This board continues to be my go-to place for info; got the news here hours before I received an email! Thanks to all! Anyone here been to Barclay's? I've been reading other places people mentioning a lot of obstructed view seats, and not always advertised as such. I'm really going to be winging it when I try for tix tomorrow, just hoping if I get them, they are decent ones.

Still can't believe I'm missing these gigs...but on the other hand... I still can't believe I got TENTH ROW in DC!!! Not gonna complain one bit about missing NYC, especially when there are so many that get skipped over here lately. To all going- enjoy! But I thoroughly hope for NO surprises!

It's ridiculous how stressed I am about this when I already have tickets for two shows. $70 and $300? That's quite a range. If I don't get the $70, I don't know if I can justify the $300.
-
Unbelievable $44.90 in fees for the higher priced ticket! They are quoting only two ticket prices here: US $69.50 - US $304.50 US $69.50 Ticket + US $13.60 Fees = US $83.10 US $304.50 Ticket + US $44.90 Fees =US $349.40 YIKES What's up with that?
-
I hope there are prices in between those.
-
Those "fees" are unbelievable!

I'm wondering if ticketmaster only has the top and bottom price points listed until they go on sale. I hope that is the case, bc I want to get decent tickets, but am not sure I can convince anyone to spend $350 for a ticket. I'm just glad it's announced....I hope I can get tickets! Never tried in NYC before.

It's a smaller venue as opposed to a stadium show so even a "cheap seat" shouldn't be too bad.

I never got an email alerting me to the Brooklyn shows. Heard about it on the radio. I've been a PM.com member for years and have bought some tix thru the fans presale before. I shouldn't have any trouble this time should I? Anyone know?

I got an email at 3pm edt for NYC and San Fran. I've also been a member for years and never got emails for the up and coming tour, but now I get all of the out there ones. Could you try logging on to an active presale for another show and see if it takes your email?

I've sat in almost every section of the arena - the only sections that might be obstructed that I'm aware of would be slightly behind the stage (227-229, 28-29 on the one side, 203-205, 3-4 on the other) and the section right behind the soundboard - 16). Sightlines are great overall.

Maybe not. If you look at Rihanna or the National price ranges for their tickets they give specific breakdowns. I think the two prices may be it. Guess we will have to wait and see.
