Pre-Concert Music

Last night before the concert in Winnipeg I was pleasantly surprised by the music played before the show started. Along with the usual "Twin Freaks" style remixes and mashups were the full versions of songs like "Helen Wheels", "Three Cool Cats" and many others. Did anybody take note of all the pre-show music played? I'd love to make my own playlist of these tracks. Many people were grooving to the excellent choice cuts!

That pre-show music is put together by Chris Holmes, he's been doing it for years. He has a page on soundcloud.com where he posted the audio and also a list of the songs; this is from 2013. Not too much has probably changed from then, but it will give you a good start!! You can listen to it sreaming and also download the file. There are also a few pre-show video/audio on youtube, you can search for -- search both this site and youtube.... I don't see 'Helen Wheels' or 'Three Cool Cats' on the track listing for this file, maybe you can msg Chris Holmes there and ask for an update!!

Three Cool Cats and Helen Wheels are part of the music in the video preshow that plays after Chris has finished his DJ set. The video preshow has all new graphics and many different songs this year, so that's been "freshened up" too.
