I'm doing ok, bit stressed with things, but ok - my little boy is doing well, he finally took his first steps 2 weeks before his 2nd birthday in Sept, and now runs round the place! So that is wonderful He has about 10 words, so he's getting there. He's my world. He LOVES his "uncle Paul" which gives me a smile when he freaks out and dances round the room when Queenie Eye comes on. He's so funny. I'll be away from him on my birthday (seeing Paul in London) so i'm full of guilt over that, but as everyone keeps telling me at only 2 years old he wont really realise it was my bday or that i'm away, and i've vowed it's a one off!
How are you? Hope you are doing ok! Are you coming to any of the UK shows?

So happy to hear he is doing well!!! I"m sure you need the down time to get rid of some stress and enjoy the MAN, don't feel guilty. I caught 2 of his shows in Canada and as usual they were great. But you already know that.
Unfortunately family concerns are keeping me from making the trip to the UK, but everytime I knock back a few I check the secondary ticket sites and the airline schedule just to torture myself. ENJOY, you deserve it

Hopefully Paul will play "I Don't Know" on some of his shows, soundcheck is not enough. This song is so great that it has to be played live on every show, really!

It sounds like they are trying to work it out. I wonder when he will add it to the regular show. Maybe not until 2019?

At which point in their respective tours did 'How Kind Of You', 'Sun Is Shining' and 'Alligator' make it from soundcheck staples to the actual set? That way we can estimate when 'I Don't Know' will make it as well.

I did soundcheck in Krakow. Due to Paul's plane arriving very late, it didn't start until just after 6pm but still lasted until around 6:50pm - doors for early-entry GA ticket holders had been due to open at 6:15pm!
I'm certain that this list is correct although I vaguely remember Mrs Vanderbilt and he didn't play it during the actual show!
- Instrumental jam
- Matchbox
- Drive My Car
- Flaming Pie
- Miss Ann
- I Don't Know
- San Francisco Bay Blues
- Things We Said Today
- Ram On
- Midnight Special
- Lady Madonna

haha...maybe wishful thinking on my part but the songs you mentioned weren't played & worked on at every soundcheck like I hear that "I Don't Know" is. But who knows...I don't.

Hehe, glad you could read my bitterness. Hm, not sure about the 'Chaos' songs, but 'Sun Is Shining' was a "work in progress" soundcheck song which evolved and evolved and then... never got played. And 'On My Way To Work' and 'Alligator' really got played often during soundchecks, heard the latter as recent as Melbourne, today one year ago. Of course the former got outed once, after a fan begged for it.
At least he dropped the "no one likes my new songs, here's a new song" and "see, I told you!" story from last year. The crowds in Copenhagen and Krakow loooooved the new songs, but that's also general admission standing for ya.

I heard all the cheering for the new songs played & also for "I Don't Know" during the soundcheck on most of the boots I've heard. So he's not doing the story about how it goes dark when a new song is played this year? Good!

Nope, and he seems to take pride in the new songs as well, and they go down a treat. He said this before 'Queenie Eye' btw, a song which is still there.

I hope he knows how good his new songs are & how much we all want to hear more solo stuff live.
