I have so many favorite bootlegs on so many different bands, including Paul, that I wouldn't even know where to start.

My favorite bootlegs are all of concerts I went to. Of course the best ones are of a great recording of a great performance.

One example I have is Viva Joint - Paul McCartney Live at the New Joint, a fantastic recording of the complete April 19, 2009 performance at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. From the moment Drive My Car exploded out of the new Joint sound system, Paul and the Band were on fire that night!

I also have several bootlegs of Pink Floyd concerts I went to in California during the 70's and 80's, that I found many years after the event while searching around the internet. Those are probably my favorites, because the shows were so memorable.

Wings Over America - Cow Palace SF - June 1976. New World Tour - Anaheim Stadium - 4/17/93. Driving USA - Oakland Arena - 4/1/2002. US Tour - HP Pavilion - San Jose - 11/08/05. An Evening with Paul McCartney - The Joint at Hard Rock - Las Vegas - 4/19/09. Up & Coming Tour - Hollywood Bowl - 3/31/10. Walk of Fame Star Presentation - Hollywood - Feb. 2012. CBS-TV taping - The Night That Changed America (with Ringo!)  - L.A. Convention Center - Jan. 2014. Out There Tour -Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles - Aug. '14 and Petco Park - San Diego - Sept. '14. Petco Park - San Diego - June 2019.  Got Back Tour - SoFi Stadium - Los Angeles - May 2022

Hello fellow Bootleg Lovers! WOW, I own so many Bootlegs, there is no way that I can list them all I'm just going to list them as I go. I'm going to begin my large collection with a 3 CD Set that may be a bootleg but it is sold on Amazon and Ebay.

This 3 CD Set is entitled FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY February 1970, Volumes 1, 2 and 3! This is the final moments of the Peter Green era but I promise you, THESE PERFORMANCES KICK A*S! These performances capture Peter Green at his absolute best! You have to hear them to believe it! Here is one of the tracks from this collection.

I own many live FLEETWOOD MAC performances from the Peter Green era on CD but I'll post them here on this thread in he near future.

My favorite Guitarist of all-time is the late great Jimi Hendrix!I own numerous Bootleg CD's and DVD's of this legendary artist that I soon realized, and I kid you not, that Hendrix's GREATEST live and studio recordings that have never been released, remain in the Bootleg underground. Why, because these performances were hidden in the safe of Jimi's late manager Mike Jefferey for decades until his estate discovered the safe and opened it. There were hundreds of Jimi's live performances, that have NEVER  been heard or seen the light of day in Bootleg  form, let alone as a legitimite release.

Janie Hendrix, Sister and now in charge of Jimi's estate, is trying to work out something legally with the Mike Jefferey's estate in obtaining  certain rights to Jimi's music and release them at a later date.

One of the first, of many Hendrix Bootleg CD's to surface under the Michael Jefferey estate is :

JIMI HENDRIX: THE FORUM CONCERT - Recorded live at the Forum in Los Angeles, California on 26 April 1969. If you think that Jimi's BLISTERING performances at Monterey, Berkeley, Woodstock and the Isle of Wight were great, you haven't heard anything yet! In my opinion, Jimi's performance at the Forum on 26 April 1969 may be his greatest live performance EVER!The 15:40 track entitled "Tax Free," Hendrix takes his live performing to a new level. This live version of "Tax Free," is without a doubt,  THE BEST LIVE "TAX FREE" EVER! It blows away any of Jimi's many GREAT live "Tax Free" performances on Youtube. I'm really surprised that this live version is not on Youtube.

Hello fellow Beatles and Bootleg lovers! I hope that you don't mind me talkling a little more in detail about Bootlegs I own, There is so much to tell!

Continuing with the  Jimi Hendrix Bootleg CD's, there are two shows in particular that Jimi performed live in 1969, that seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth never to be seen or heard from again. The two shows I'm talking about are the ROYAL ALBERT HALL  performances recorded live on 18 February 1969 and 24 February 1969. There were reasons why these legendary live performances were shelved indefinitely. First, the band had not performed live anywhere for weeks which would result in the band not being well rehearsed prior to both Royal Albert Hall live performances! The two Royal Albert Hall live performances would soon prove to be some of the final shows  from their final 1969 tour that the three original members, Guitarist Jimi Hendrix, Bassist Noel Redding and Drummer Mitch Mitchell, of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, would ever perform together. The reason why the original Jimi Hendrix Experience disbanded was due to the many intensifying arguments and fights between Jimi and Noel Redding. Redding argued that since he is a Guitarist, he feels that he can contribute more to the band as a second guitarist rather than playing Bass. Jimi did not like the idea and that's where the differences an disagreements began between Jimi and Noel. To make matters worse, Jimi was not happy with his manager Mike Jeffery and was seeking legal advise on how he could terminate his contractual obligations with Jeffery. The disagreements would soon get so bad, prior to both Royal Albert Hall Shows, that it would eventually break up the original Jimi Hendrix Experience after the 1969 Tour.

Music critics strongly agreed that Jimi and his band sounded terrible during the first show recorded live on 18 February 1969. In response to the music critics bad reviews, The Jimi Hendrix Experience would return to The Royal Albert Hall again, days later on 24 February 1969 and make the music critics eat their words by performing a blistering show! The 24 February 1969 show was also filmed and released as EXPERIENCE. The film was only shown ONCE in Berkeley, California, than it disappeared off the face of the earth never to be seen again.

In the years that have passed since both of the1969 Royal Albert Hall shows, there has been numerous bad Bootleg CD's of the 24 February 1969 show that would surface with bad sound quality. The 18 February 1969 show never saw the light of day in Bootleg form until decades later.

In the 2000's, thanks to the Michael Jeffery estate, the original live soundboard master tapes are found and finally released on Bootleg CD. The best live Bootleg CD's highlighting the 18 February 1969 show are as follows:

                  JIMI HENDRIX - RAH218 - 2 CD Set

JIMI HENDRIX - First Night At The Royal Albert Hall - 2 CD Set

The best live Bootleg CD's highlighting the 24 February 1969 show are as follows:

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - The Last Experience - 3 CD Set - Soundboard Recording

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - In The Legend - 2 CD Set

As for the film EXPERIENCE, it  surfaced on Bootleg VHS in the early 1980's with bad video and sound quality but would soon disappear indefinitely. Only recently, after many decades, it has finally seen the light of day on Bootleg DVD with bad video and sound qualty.

To end this chapter in Jimi Hendrix's glorious career, despite being unrehearsed, JIMI STILL KICKED A*S! However, the tension between Jimi and Noel is evident on film.

Hello fellow Beatles and Bootleg lovers! I own so many Hendrix Bootlegs that I am going to switch to another artist and come back to Hendrix when the opportunity arrives!

Another legendary band that I own many Bootlegs but don't know where to begin is the mighty LED ZEPPELIN! I'm going to name off many of my favorite LED ZEPPELIN Bootlegs as follows:

LED ZEPPELIN - The Great Lost Live Album - .This is a fantastic concert that was recorded live off the soundboard

                    on 22 January 1973. 3 CD Set.

LED ZEPPELIN - Live in Houston, Texas on 21 May 1977 - 3 CD Set -  Soundboard recording.

LED ZEPPELIN - Live in Fort Worth, Texas on 22 May 1977 - 3 CD Set - Soundboard recording.

LED ZEPPELIN - Live in New York City, New York on 7 June 1977 - 3 CD Set - Soundboard recording.

LED ZEPPELIN - Live in Los Angeles, California on 23 June 1977 - 3 CD Set - PERFECT AUDIENCE RECORDING!

PLEASE NOTE! I saw this concert live (23 June 1977) and own numerous different versions but I'll name my two favorite recordings of this concert  as follows:

FOR BADGEHOLDERS ONLY  - Scorpio Label - LZ-07009

The Mike Millard Unmarked 1st Generation Cassettes Transfer - This guy did an incredible recording!

I also attended the LED ZEPPELIN concert at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California one month later on 23 July 1977. The are many Bootlegs of this show , however, the sound quality is not very good. I hate to say this about Led Zeppelin but the Oakland shows, 23 & 24 July 1977, LED ZEPPELIN played awful! Bonham's timing is off and Jimmy Page's Guitar playing is out of sync with Bonham and Jones. I could also tell that the Heroin was beginning to take its toll on both Bonham and Page. Here are two Bootlegs from that show but the sound quality is not very good, they are as follows:

                    LED ZEPPELIN - The Last Performance In The U.S.A. - Oakland Coliseum, 23 & 24 July 1977 - 6 CD Set

LED  ZEPPELIN - A Quiet Before The storm - Live at the Oakland Coliseum, 23 July 1977 - 5 CD Set

I can honestly say that I saw Led Zeppelin at their absolute best at the Forum in Los Angeles on 23 June 1977. I can also honestly say that I saw Led Zeppelin perform bad in Oakland one month later on 23 July 1977. However, I will say this for the record, Led Zeppelin's worse performance is still better than  many band's best performances.

I, like yourself, will never understand why Jimmy Page has never approved any releases of the soundboard shows mentioned above, those were great shows! There is a rumor flying around in the underground that a soundboard recording exists for the 23 June 1977 Forum show. If this is true, Jimmy Page needs to release this one, this is LED ZEPPELIN at their absolute best!

I have right many Paul bootlegs. It makes me cringe recalling what I paid for some of those (shudders). A few were sent to me by fans, for free, which was very nice of them.
