http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/paul-gets-back-to-the-budokan 1 know the deets, but waiting for official word from PM.COM This is good!!! Paul McCartney to get back to the Budokan Very special additional Japanese 'Out There' tour date added Paul McCartney ? Nippon Budokan ? Tuesday 28th April PaulMcCartney.com pre-sale to take place at 10am (local / 1am GMT) on Saturday 21st March With just over one month to go until Paul returns to Japan with his 'Out There' tour, Paul announces today a special one off show at the Nippon Budokan on Tuesday 28th April. The special show was originally planned for last year but for reasons beyond his control Paul was forced to cancel his Japanese tour dates. Almost 49 years since The Beatles began the Asian leg of their 1966 tour at the Budokan, Paul will return to the legendary venue with his current tour. Speaking about his return Paul said: ?It?s very exciting to be returning to the Budokan because it is a very special place and was the first place we played in Japan. There was a lot of controversy at the time but I now know that it is a regular venue for a lot of people. But for me it has a very special place in my memory.? A combination of fans and protestors meant that the 1966 shows were heavily guarded and the only people allowed on the venue floor for the concerts were security and accredited journalists. At the time Paul and the band couldn?t even leave the hotel they were staying. In November 2013 Paul toured through Japan playing six sold out shows in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Osaka. 2015 Japanese Tour Dates: April 21st: Kyocera Dome, Osaka April 23rd: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo April 25th: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo April 27th: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo Special show added: April 28th: Nippon Budokan Mod Edit This post has been edited to include main site confirmation link

Anyone get fix for Budokan besides me?
-
Hi fellow fans, excuse me if this message is posted twice, seems something went wrong first time I tried. Ta\ravelling from Norway to Tokyo to see all three concerts in Tokyo Dome. Return flight is on the 30th, so theoretically a chance to go to Budokan concert as well - if I manage to get a ticket! Cannot figure out the Japanese web site though. Does anyone know whether the regular ticket sale has begun at all??

Hi there, It looks like the info on outhere-japantour.com is not up-to-date, and there are two more opportunities to buy tickets. 1. There is currently a pre-sale for S and A tickets (but not the best tickets, SS, or B tickets). This is being run through a ticketing agency called Pia. The only problem is that I don't think it's possible to buy tickets from Pia unless you are in Japan. For these tickets, there is a credit card and delivery option (but not will call, as far as I can tell), but I don't know if they will deliver to Norway. Even if they will, I would be concerned about them turning up on time. Anyway, I suggest checking out the following site using Google Chrome for translation... http://t.pia.jp/feature/music/paulmccartney/index.jsp 2. It looks like there will be a general sale from Saturday April 4 at 10am (Japan time) via kyodotokyo.com. (For some reason, the Google Chrome translation says May 4, but I'm pretty sure that the original text says April 4.) It's possible that this will include all ticket types. This option is more promising because it was possible for people outside of Japan to buy VIP tickets from this website and pick them up at the venue. The tricky thing is that you have to create an account on the website in advance and this involves a few odd things like entering a fictitious postcode that they provided in an English-language guide to buying tickets. Unfortunately, because the VIP tickets have sold out, the guide has been removed from outthere-japantour.com. Here's where the tickets will be sold: http://kyodotokyo.com/pm2015_budokan If you PM me your email address, I'd be happy to email you the guide. It would then pay to familiarize yourself with the above website (e.g., by pretending to buy tickets to another show but not going through with the transaction) so that you know how to use it on the day. One thing I'm not sure of is how you would specify that you want "will call". With VIP it was different because it was the default/only option. Hope that helps! Cheers, Andrew.
