For me it needs to stop we can have two more songs in the time it takes to get them on stage and stuff . I like the ideas what Bon jovi do where they have a pit for fans to go in right up close and they swap over every few songs or like the stones do premium priced stage seating

Would you be saying the same thing if it was you being brought up on stage? Also, Paul rarely does this at UK gigs...but, I'd say it's mind-blowing for the fans he brings up on stage. Fair play to them!!

I totally agree, it might be a great moment for the person taken on stage, but for an audience there is nothing more boring than yet another person getting their body part signed to get a tattoo! He should leave all that for the soundcheck guests

Am I right in thinking it happens towards the end of the show? He's already played 3 hours..he's done his Setlist already..he won't take people up if it's going to disrupt the show!!! :

The body part signing is getting old.Tho I wouldn't mind ! Something I have noticed,in the states anyways is,It looks like the women that have been brought upstage all know each other ! When they started getting signed a few years ago, they're posts on FB were like, "We have to get so&so on stage now....it's her turn now....etc etc. & sure enough another one of them got up there with Paul. They are very friendly with Shelley & have been seen talking with Brian Riddle too. I'm not the only one who has noticed this. He should do what he use to do several years ago, at the end of the show he would sign a couple of things & hand them back (or throw!) as he was walking off the stage. It took a lot less time.

I go back so far,I'm in front of me

If he wants to do it and brings some lucky fan up on stage for a few minutes, it's fine with me. Imagine if that was you being invited up there and going up there to meet him. You'd lose your mind! I know I would. I hope I get that lucky some day!

I think it's cool. I've got 8 Beatles related tattoos across my shoulders with a space in which some writing would fit very well... 😉

I'm not on FB but I have met several of the women after they were signed and to my knowledge the ones I know have become friendly with each other after they were signed, sort of a sorority with something very special in common. They are all great people and great fans. I think they became friendly with Shelley after they were signed. If I'm wrong ladies please correct me. I've met Brian Riddle at some of the shows and if he isn't busy doing his job of making sure Paul is well taken care of he is friendly and personable. I don't think any of the ladies called up were friendly with Shelley or Brian before their signing. Once again this is my opinion and if I'm wrong ladies let us know. I enjoy the signings and have been lucky enough to have a few items signed by Mr. McCartney from the stage.

No. I don't want to witness it, that is Paul's stage, I pay money to see him play and sing his music. Period. People say, "You'd think different if is was you." No, I wouldn't. Yes, I would love to meet Paul, back stage or at the arena entrance or at a store or restaurant. But I would feel very uneasy going on a stage in front of 15,000 people to shake his hand, say, "I love your music!" and have him sign my arm while putting the show on hold. It's also insulting watching, after so many have been fans for decades and spent thousands of fan dollars on his products, to watch some casual female fan with a cute butt and a sign that says, "Sign my butt!" get to meet him, but most devoted fans will never get that opportunity. I would, however, get on stage and jam with him on guitar or bass. I could do that!

Agree totally I'm one of those fans that will never get called up,no matter how many shows I've seen & thousands & thousands spent the last 51 years ! I can only think of a couple fans that have been on stage for a moment, that have been his fan 51 years. & yes I talk to Shelley & Brian too, I was just making an observation that has been noticed. Some of the best moments have been when he has invited fans to jam with him.....& that's only been a few times !How awesome would that be ?

I am not there to see fans get to go on stage so it would be "no" for me also. Thankfully, this has never happened during a concert I attended.

                                  Maybe I'm amazed !!

Paul, stop doing it. What is the point, really? To show he is a man of the people? It just creates an elite group of fans who got to, most don't get to. How about this? Have Paul's people look at fans here who have over 1,000 posts, have a lottery, and have him call them. Or fly them to a show and meet him backstage. Reward fans who have been fans for decades. Most of us don't know who his manager is or who to cosy up to. And why should we? But randomly having people on stage because they have a sign that says, "We Are On Our Honeymoon and Want To Be Onstage!!" How does he know that is true? That they really are on their honeymoon? It is ridiculous at all levels.

It's anti-rock n' roll. And quite frankly, I just don't care when folks get engaged. Also, I think "RMartinez" makes a good point that some of those signs about getting engaged might be bogus: Even if a guy genuinely plans to propose, hasn't carrying a LARGE POSTER kinda' given away the surprise? So that confirms that the chick is in on the hustle.

I've been a fan of the Beatles (and especially Paul) since February 1964. Having Paul personally call me and my son on stage during his soundcheck in Philadelphia, is still hard to believe...(thank God for the photos taken that day)!! Those of us over the years that experienced such an extraordinary event, aren't part of an "elite group of fans" as a previous poster indicated, but just for one brief moment in time extremely lucky. I think Paul should continue to have his fans join him on stage so more people can experince the feeling I had of finally meeting someone you've admired so much your whole life!

You did it at sound check. This is about his concerts. I thinks it is a bad idea and am glad I never had to sit in the stands when it happened. Sound check is another thing. That is more casual and probably the place it should happen. Though I think charging people to be at a sound check is a scam of ridiculous proportions. But that is another thread!
