Bon Jovi did a 3 hour show here in 2010
Bon Jovi rocks too! He's in the league of Paul, I'd say. Class act entertainer and always puts on an energetic show. He's not really mainstream anymore either, so I don't classify him with the "young, modern" performers of today. For the most part, those performers just plain stink. Lol
I think it's the only rock band to come out of the 80s to still fill stadiums over the world.
U2 is up there as well.
I don't consider U2 a rock band, sorry.
No Javilu, they are a rock band....just a really, really, really ,bad one.

I'm gonna jump on the Bon Jovi bandwagon, been a fan a some years now, was lucky enough to see them at the first O2 arena gig in 2007, in 2008 and twice in 2010. They never play the same show twice, and they have a great back catalogue, Its my Life, Livin on Prayer, Keep the Faith, Have a nice day. They may not be everyone's cup of tea but the music industry would be poorer without them

Oh, ok. I'll let the rest of the world know you decided U2 are not a rock band. And also that you decided the Mona Lisa is not a painting.

no real food for thought their at all. strictly depends on how many shows you are gonna do to make up a 'tour'. its actually very very missleading ......macca down in 34th place with his 'driving' tour....some acts do 200 shows in a tour, some acts do about 30/50 shows in a tour. they simply cannot be compared.

Yeah, but it counts for something. U@'s 360 tour is the highest grossing tour. By any standard. But I did not post that to argue. Merely as something to think about. If another chart that shows a more "real" reflection on the biggest tours exists, I would love to see it.

You are very much correct about Have A Nice Day; they raised the bar with that one.
True that. I'm not even a fan. I mean I like that album and a few of there classics but wouldn't call myself a fan but do listen out to their new stuff. Their ok. My mate is a Bon Jovi fan like I am a Paul fan so I have to put up with that. :
Know what u mean Please don't let your mate read what I just said about his hero. He will hate Mrs. CMackpepper Not good!
Don't worry Mrs. Cmackpepper, your secret is safe with me
I knew I could trust you

My absolutely favorite U2 performance -- Bono sang his ass off, and the band is in a zone! Rock just doesn't get any BIGGER than this:
(this is how I imagine a Fireman concert would go...in my wildest dreams, of course) -

if we could define 'a tour' of course it would be much easier. whilst 'a tour' can vary from 30 shows to 200 shows it is impossible to compare.

You would need to average it out to see how much they made per show. As you say Lazy, when the amount of shows differ so greatly...you are NOT comparing apples to apples.
